Day 1 – Home to Kansas City, MO
We start out this morning and spend most of the day in travel to Kansas
City, stopping for coffee and lunch along the way. We will enjoy the
manager’s reception at the Drury Inn before boarding the coach for a trip
to our first antique mall of the trip: The Brass Armadillo. It has 500 dealers
and 42,000 sq. feet of showroom so we will be off to a great start! We’ll
shop till we drop and then head back to our comfy home for the night.
Included Meals: Manager’s Reception
Hotel: Drury Inn
Day 2 – Kansas City to Branson, MO
After our tasty hot breakfast we will board the coach and follow 291 south
of 470 to Harrisonville. Our very first stop of the day will be Keepers Antique
Mall, covering 7,500 sq. feet of quality antiques. You will find it all
– furniture, glass, pottery, stoneware, sports & fishing, toys, and advertising
collectibles. Before we leave town we will pay a quick visit to Vintage
Elegance, where we will find antiques, collectibles, repurposed, local gift
items, and jewelry. Boarding our coach again, we travel on to Davis Bros
Antiques, in the red barn outside of Lowry City. We will make a fairly hurried stop as we will want to savor time for our next stop, Smiths Café. It’s
a great lunch stop with its tasty home-style cooking. We will then travel
down the road to Country Classics Antique Mall in Bolivar. We trust you
will love this classic stop as we did. It is neatly arranged and spotless,
and even sports its own 60’s coffee shop right inside the mall. After the
hunt we will head down the road to our Hampton Inn in Branson. We
will have enough time to check out the antique shop across the road from
our hotel, Vintage Marketplace, before our evening meal at McFarlain’s. It
is famous for legendary Ozark cuisine like homemade pies and featuring
their own special slow-cooked pot roast, famous honey and cornbread,
fried green tomatoes and more. It is also known for its unique atmosphere
and hospitality. We will be entertained tonight by a famous Branson show
to be advertised at a later date. Heading back to our hotel we are looking
forward to a good night of rest.
Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Hotel: Hampton Inn
Day 3 – Branson to Springfield, MO
We will start out the morning with a great hot breakfest. Moving
on to downtown Branson, we will be dropped off to continue our
hunt at several flea markets on one entire block. We will be given
one hour before we are picked up again to continue our hunt in
Ozark. We will find two neat shops located side by side, therefore
the coach will be parked between and we can go from side to
side. The first is Spring Creek Antiques and Tea Room filled with
booths of vintage pieces and antiques. Their tea room is small
and quaint, but fun to see. Next door you will enjoy a stop at The
Avant Garde’n, a furniture and home décor fun shop filled with
delightful treasures. By now you have worked up an appetite so
we will take you to a one-of-a-kind place we know you will enjoy,
Lamberts Café. It has won the distinction of 1st place in the food
category in the Show-Me-State. It’s the home of the Throwed Rolls.
You will learn more about that at the café – we guarantee a great
experience! Our afternoon will be filled with stops at a variety of
shops. Our first will find us at Pickers Antique Mall with 10,000
sq. feet of floor space full of antiques. Down the street a bit will
find us stopping at Keen Eye Antiques housing primitive furniture,
jewelry, industrial lighting, western signs, and gas and oil advertising.
We have much more in three outstanding malls coming up.
The coach will park midway between all three and you can choose
as you like between the three malls. Hint: they are all well worth
it!Ozark Antique Mall is voted #1 antique mall in the entire area.
They specialize in toys, furniture, primitives, advertising, taxidermy,
and jewelry. Yesterday’s Antique Mall with two full floors is filled
with art books, quilts, glass, china, jewelry, clocks, pottery, plus lots of collectibles. Main Street Antiques with 25,000 sq. ft. of jewelry,
furniture, primitives, sporting and fishing equipment. I say, if you
can’t find what you are looking for in one of these malls you just
may not find it. After a full day of antiquing we are ready to drop at
the Drury Inn in Springfield. Enjoy the provided manager’s reception
or hop on over to one of the nearby restaurants.
Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Manager’s Reception
Hotel: Drury Inn (2 Nights)
Day 4 – Springfield
Rise and shine and enjoy a somewhat relaxed breakfast this morning.
Our coach will leave at 9:45 for Relics Antique Mall, the
largest antique mall in Missouri. It has been voted Springfield’s
best. There is none like it in the Show-Me-State, and you will be
very, very impressed. We will begin our hunt wherever we choose,
with 90,000 sq. ft. to cover, we had better get going! At 10:50 we
will gather at the tearoom for a short talk and a chance to enjoy an
early lunch. Take your time to enjoy lunch prepared just for you, or
eat and run so as not to leave any stone unturned. At 1:00 we will
board the coach and head to a few more shops: Ozark Treasures,
Robertsons Gallery and Antiques, and The Cottage dealing with
English antiques, pewter, black forest, period art paintings, covered
boxes & tins, and blue & white. At Ozark Treasures you will be able
to purchase Amish baked goodies and jams, as well as man cave
items. After another full day of “the hunt,” it will feel good to settle
in for the night and dine at your choice of the manager’s reception
