Arizona Leisure Flyaway Option

Feb. 4-14, 2008 • 11 Days – Flyaway
Day 1 – Las Vegas 
Fly into Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the World, and our destination for two nights.  Arrive early afternoon for some free time.  See the famous casino areas, amazing hotels, and all kinds of people!  This evening relax and enjoy the beautiful resort hotel located on the famous Las Vegas Boulevard Strip!

Day 2 – Las Vegas
Today is at leisure in Las Vegas and you won’t have any trouble finding something to do!  Stroll along the famous Las Vegas Boulevard Strip.  This evening you are free to choose from the many star studded shows of Las Vegas.

Day 3 – Las Vegas to Sedona
This morning we’ll pick up and follow the famous “Route 66” through the desert and on to spectacular Oak Creek Canyon.  Lunch is in Williams before we arrive in the artist community of Sedona with its breathtaking red rock formations serving as a backdrop!  Browse the local shops of this charming desert village, before we settle into our Sedona hotel.

Day 4 – Sedona to Phoenix
This morning we will take a ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad and view the historical route into Arizona’s other “grand canyon”, it’s an unforgettable experience.  Later we’ll make our way to “The Valley of the Sun,”  Phoenix, Arizona for a relaxing four night stay.  Your hotel is located in Old Town Scottsdale.

Day 5 – Phoenix
A local step on guide will enhance all the history and sights that the Phoenix area has to offer.  Enjoy the beauty and vitality of downtown Phoenix, a modern city on the move!   Return to the hotel for some free time.  This evening is at your leisure here in Phoenix.

Day 6 – Phoenix
Today we take a short scenic drive along the Apache Trail to the Superstition Mountains with a delicious included lunch at the famous Tortilla Flats, complete with the World’s Best Killer Chili, and lively entertainment.  Enjoy a relaxing cruise by steamboat on Arizona’s beautiful desert Canyon Lake.  Experience the splendor of the canyon, wildlife, and unique desert plants. This evening attend the Barleen Family’s Arizona Opry.
Music Dinner Theater.

Day 7 – Phoenix
Today is at leisure.  Relax and soak up the warm Arizona sun by the beautiful poolside or maybe take in a game of tennis or golf.  Take advantage of the hotel’s perfect location in sunny Scottsdale, including the Scottsdale Trolley that will take you to the charming shops and attractions of the Scottsdale area.

Day 8 – Phoenix to Tucson
This morning we make our way to the “most sunny city” in America, Tucson.  We’ll make a stop at the De Grazia Art Gallery, a landmark in Tucson, that welcomes thousands of visitors each year.  Later, we’ll enjoy a narrated tram tour of Sabino Canyon where waterfalls, flowing mountain streams, clear cool pools, and rock walls hundreds of feet high create a marvelous natural environment.  We’ll relax and get settled into the Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites for a leisurely 3 night stay in beautiful Tucson.

Day 9 – Tucson
After breakfast visit the old western town of Tombstone “The town too tough to Die”.  Tombstone was perhaps the most renowned of Arizona’s old mining camps and noted for the infamous Earp-Clanton battle, fought near the rear entrance of the O.K. Corral in 1881.  See many of Tombstone’s historic buildings-all within a few blocks of downtown Tombstone.  Truly a historical American Landmark, Tombstone is American’s best example of our 1880 western heritage- we’ll give time to browse this unique town.  A delightful lunch is served at the Longhorn Restaurant in Tombstone.  As we travel onto Sierra Vista, we’ll hear the story of Our Lady of the Sierras Shrine, a national historic landmark that evokes a feeling for the past. Our final stop of the day will be at the winery in the Village of Elgin.  Return to Tucson for a relaxing evening at your leisure.

Day 10 – Tucson
A local step-on guide shows us the sights of Tucson including Mission San Xavier Del Bac, the Grand “White Dove of the Desert.” Visit the Sonora Desert Museum, ranked as one of the greatest natural museums in the world!  It’s exhibits are absolutely first rate.  See Giant Saguara Cactii that will amaze you!  Lunch is served at Ironwood Terrace Restaurant within the park.  This evening you are guests at a ranch outside of Tucson.  Enjoy an outdoor BBQ under the stars with great western entertainment.

Day 11 – Tucson to Albuquerque
Depart by air today with wonderful memories of an amazing journey of exploring Arizona!
