Day 1 – Home to Harrison Hot Springs, BC

Hope your bags are packed and your passport is in hand as we board our plane to Vancouver before catching up with the motorcoach for the start of our beautiful tour in British Columbia. Your R&J tour director will greet you at the airport so you’ll have nothing to worry about on this wonderful Canadian adventure tour! Nestled against Southwestern British Columbia’s magnificent mountains and the sandy beaches of Harrison Lake is Harrison Hot Springs, our destination tonight. The village is filled with a rich history and natural wonders including their world-famous BC hot springs. For centuries, the Sasquatch has occupied a unique niche in the oral traditions of the First Nations communities of Harrison Lake and Harrison River. We’ll make a stop at the Harrison Visitors Center and Sasquatch Museum before checking into our hotel for the night. Keep your eyes open! Who knows, you just might just stumble upon one of these mysterious creatures in the breathtaking mountains surrounding Harrison Hot Springs. Take a dip in one of the resorts five hot springs pools tonight, or simply dance the night away in the resorts Copper Room after our dinner together.

Included Meals: Dinner

Day 2 – Harrison Hot Springs to Kamloops, BC

This morning after breakfast at our hotel, and maybe a swim in one of the hot springs pools at the resort, we’ll make our way to the small village of Merritt. Merritt and the Nicola Valley are the perfect showcase for the gritty western heritage and traditional ranching culture which was shaped by this unique landscape. After a stop at the Baillie House, home to the Merritt Visitors Center, we’ll have lunch together and maybe even take a walk amongst the larger than life country legends painted in murals throughout the town. Merritt is home to the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, Canada’s most recent addition to the stage of national attractions! At the Hall of Fame, the best of Canadian country music is celebrated! Learn who the inductees are, their contributions to the genre, and how the roots of country music continue to influence musical styles and move our souls. Canada’s rich fabric of country music songwriters and performers have influence far beyond their national borders. While music is a universal language, Canadian country music in particular is a story. Once we’ve gotten our fill of country music legends in Canada, we’ll continue our journey to the beautiful South Thompson Inn, nestled on a real ranch right along the South Thompson River just outside of Kamloops! Enjoy a wonderful buffet dinner before exploring the resort. The Inn is our home for the next 3 nights while we enjoy some relaxing time as well as some wonderful touring.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Hotel: South Thompson Inn (3 Nights)

Day 3 – Kamloops area

After a wonderful buffet breakfast at our resort, we’ll make the short drive into Kamloops for a tour of the city. Learn about the gold rush days and the early days of the steam train. We’ll see first-hand some of what made Kamloops what it is today. This afternoon is yours to enjoy: take a swim, go on a bike ride, visit the horses and llamas, or simply relax on your own patio. You might even wish to take in a winery tour on your own, check out the BC Wildlife Park, or get in a round of golf at the course next door. It doesn’t get much better than this! We’ll gather together again this evening for a wonderful meal.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 4 – Kamloops area

Today will give us a good picture of the area, with several opportunities to see local businesses and agriculture. Planet Bee Honey Farm opened in 1997 in rural Armstrong. The business has a goal of educating people about the importance of bees, while sharing with them the numerous health and healing products of the hive. Davison Orchards, just across the field from Planet Bees, is another family owned agricultural business that has taken learning to another level. We’ll discover what it takes to produce wonderful apples, peaches, plums, tomatoes, pumpkins and more. Wait until you see and hear the Minnesota connection! We’ll tour, enjoy lunch, and visit the many shops right on the orchard property! Our next stop is really something to see, Dreamcycle Motorcycle Museum, which is about so much more than just the machines themselves. The stories each cycle tells is fascinating and the owner considers each a work of art. We will be amazed! Tonight enjoy dinner on your own and explore more of the resort.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 5 – Kamloops to Whistler, BC

Today we say goodbye to Kamloops and the South Thompson Inn. What a wonderful, relaxing and beautiful place to call home for the past few days! We’ll make a stop along the way in Historic Hat Creek, one of the only remaining sections of the original Caribou Wagon roads still accessible to the public. Hat Creek offers us one of the rare opportunities to explore the original buildings/road houses used by the Gold Rush travelers of the 1860’s! We’ll enjoy a meal together before we get back on the road again. Our coach ride will take us through some beautiful countryside, including a photo stop at breathtaking Seton Lake, as we journey along to Whistler. From the ancient, volcanic peaks with their 360 degree views, to the vibrant and sophisticated village with its incredible vibe, Whistler Blackcomb is the place to be. Nestled at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, this pedestrian-only village has countless walkways, patio restaurants, shopping, on-mountain adventures and more! Get ready for some breathtaking views! We will check into our hotel for the next two nights and enjoy dinner together.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Hotel: Aava Whistler Hotel (2 Nights)

Day 6 – Whistler area

Our first stop today is the Squamish and Lil’wat Nations’ Cultural Centre, which showcases their art, history, and culture. Their vision is to share their culture with the community and visitors of Whistler in a meaningful and authentic way. We’ll enjoy a meal with some authentic First Nations items on the menu, then take a guided tour of the center. Next we will ride the Guinness World Record-breaking PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola that spans the distance between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Providing an unparalleled perspective of British Columbia’s rooftop and incomparable views of towering volcanic peaks, coastal rainforests, and ancient glaciers, the gondola tops all other rides in length and view – we won’t want to miss it! Once we’ve descended the mountain, the remainder of the afternoon and evening is free to explore the villages of Whistler Blackcomb on your own.

Day 7 – Whistler to Home

This morning after another wonderful breakfast, we board our coach for the last time as we drive the legendary Sea to Sky Highway to Vancouver to meet our flight.
