Day 2 – Phoenix to Grand Canyon
Today we visit Montezuma Castle National Monument with impressive ancient cliff dwellings.  Continue to Sedona before we wind through one of America’s most beautiful drives through Oak Creek Canyon.   Continue to the magnificent Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.  Over one mile deep and many miles long, it is one of nature’s most spectacular examples of erosion. Your first glimpse of the Grand Canyon is always breathtaking with its stunning color and vastness. R & J Tours has chosen a lodge close to the rim of the canyon.  As we enjoy our dinner this evening, we’ll watch the sunset over the canyon.

Day 3 – Grand Canyon to Lake Powell
An early rise is rewarded by an impressive canyon sunrise!   We’ll spend the morning exploring the canyon rim with photo stops along the way.  Later we make our way to Lake Powell where Glen Canyon Dam transformed the mighty Colorado River into this massive lake that is 186 miles long – fringed by fjord-like canyons, there is no other lake like it in the world!  Enjoy three nights at the Lake Powell Resort with lakeview rooms, a must while staying here. This evening enjoy a dinner cruise on Lake Powell  with sweeping views of the scenic lake.

Day 4 – Lake Powell
This morning is free for you to enjoy at your leisure.  In the afternoon we will experience a gentle float trip along the Colorado River, with sandstone canyons that rise a half a mile above us; this will be an afternoon that you will long remember.

Day 5 – Lake Powell
Motor to Monument Valley for a four-wheel-drive tour of Monument Valley with the help of a knowledgeable Navajo guide.  You’ll discover the area’s uniquely shaped monoliths, buttes and mesas of red sandstone.  Lunch is a special Navajo Cookout here at Monument Valley.  Return to your Lake Powell water front resort for a restful evening.

Day 6 – Lake Powell to Bryce Canyon
We begin the day with a breakfast looking out over the beauty of Lake Powell.  We’ll then visit Glen Canyon Dam and take a tour down into the dam and see the generators that supply power to much of the area.  Later we make our way to Bryce Canyon National Park, a land of pines and pinnacles in all it’s splendor.

Day 7 – Bryce Canyon
Today we will motor along the rim road, where magnificent spires known as “hoodoos” show colors of pink, orange and red. You may see wildlife including elk, coyotes, marmots, and prairie dogs. Bryce Canyon is famous for its hiking trails, offering a closer look at bird species and colorful wildflowers.

Day 8 – Bryce to Zion NP and Las Vegas
Today we travel to Zion National Park.  In sheer magnitude and color, Zion is very likely one of the most awe-inspiring National Parks in the world. Later we leave behind this magnificent park and journey to Las Vegas.  We’ll stop in Saint George to view one of the first Mormon temples in Utah.  Arrive in the exciting city of Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world.  This evening is at your leisure.

Day 9 – Las Vegas to Home
Spend the morning at leisure here in Las Vegas. This afternoon we fly home with fresh memories of a wonderful tour through the Canyonlands.  Enjoy this time with your new traveling friends.
