1. Home to Chicago
This morning we depart on the Empire Builder train to Chicago. We’ll enjoy the sights along the way, passing Lake Pepin and arriving in Chicago at 4:00 pm. Your hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Chicago’s downtown close to Maginificent Mile and waterfront. This evening we’ll board the Spirit of Chicago for an elegant dinner cruise. Enjoy sweeping views of Chicago’s illumunated skyline.

2. Chicago
After a leisure light breakfast at the hotel we depart for Chicago. We welcome a local guide to show us the Christmas sights of Chicago. See Magnificent Mile lined with wonderful shops and cafes decorated for the Christmas season. Our tour ends at Navy Pier with lunch on your own while enjoying the festive Christmas Wonderland there. Later, visit the Museum of Science and Industry featuring a display of Christmas trees from around the world. This evening enjoy reserved seating at a top theater performance here in Chicago!

3. Chicago to Rockford
Sleep late, enjoy a light breakfast, and do some last minute shopping this morning. Some may want to join us for a tour to the Field Museum featuring “Jacqueline Kennedy: The White House Years” recalling an era of style and grace. You will also see selections from the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum. Later we depart for Rockford where we’ll check into the Cliffbreaker Hotel and freshen up for a holiday dinner served at the Cliffbreaker’s Restaurant beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. After dinner, we’ll tour the Festival of Lights which Rockford proudly displays.

4. Rockford to Home

After an included breakfast we depart for home with an included lunch at the Norske Nook. A special stop will be the Lowe Creek Tree Farm with a wreath making demonstration and hot apple cider. Learn about the story of the Christmas here at the farm. Journey home with wonderful memories that have helped us prepare for the upcoming Christmas season.
