Chicago in the Spring
Day 1 – Home to Chicago
This morning we depart on the Empire Builder train to Chicago. We’ll enjoy the sights along the way, passing Lake Pepin and arriving in Chicago late afternoon. Our motorcoach will meet us and we’ll settle into our hotel for a two night stay. This evening you are special guests at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theater. Enjoy dinner and a show at this award-winning theater as we watch Andrew Lloyd Webbers’ “Joseph and the Amazing Techincolor Dream Coat.”

Day 2 – Chicago
Breakfast is served at the hotel before we visit the Shedd Aquarium, one of the world’s largest indoor aquariums. Enjoy time at Navy Pier for lunch. Later enjoy an architectural cruise and lunch on the delightful river that winds through downtown Chicago. Enjoy a spectacular view from the Hancock Observatory. Visit Magnificent Mile, with it’s glittering department stores, the must see Water Tower vertical shopping mall and Pumping Station, and the Wrigley building headquarters of Wrigley Chewing Gum. Enjoy a tour of Macy’s Department Store (formerly Marshall Fields), learn about the history and see the spectacular Tiffany mosaic dome and more. An outstanding dinner is served here on the historic 7th floor in the Walnut Room where Chicagoans have eaten for generations.

Day 3 – Chicago to Home
Depart for home after breakfast at the hotel. This morning tour Cuneo Mansion, a historic Venetian style mansion featuring art, tapestries, European furnishings and formal gardens. We will return home this evening with great memories.
