Day 1 Home to Chicago
Start out early and board the Amtrak Empire Builder headed for Chicago. Everyone enjoys this special ride seeing the countryside from the rail. Take some time in the observation car or enjoy the views from your coach seat. Lunch will be enjoyed along the way and we’ll arrive in Chicago just in time for the fun to begin! We’ll check into the Hampton Inn in downtown Chicago for two nights. Dinner this evening is at Giordano’s Pizza where we will enjoy mouthwatering deep-dish Chicago Pizza. Return to the hotel for a restful evening.

Day 2 – Chicago
Following breakfast we’ll begin our adventure in the Windy City. First stop, the Shedd Aquarium. The Shedd is the largest indoor aquarium in the world! We’ll enjoy time viewing dolphins, exotic fish, and maybe a few surprises! Then it’s off to Navy Pier for some free time before we head to the Museum of Science and Industry where we’ll be able to view a German Submarine, walk through a heart, and go into a coal mine. We’ll also enjoy one of the IMAX movies together before we depart and tour a bit of Chicago as we travel back to our hotel where you will be free for the evening. Take a swim or go for a walk on the Magnificent Mile. Eat at a local restaurant and enjoy the sights and sounds of Chicago.

Day 3 Chicago to Schaumburg
After breakfast we will check out of the hotel and continue our touring of Chicago. We’ll start at is the Field Museum where we will see “Sue” the T-Rex on display. There are lots of mummies and other unique treasures to explore as well. We’ll take a walk through Millenium Park and view the unique statues and maybe even get our feet wet in one of the pools. Then it’s on to the Skydeck where we will travel 103 stories up and get a grand view of the Chicago area and if you are brave enough you can step out on “the ledge.” Later we will travel to Schaumburg, a Chicago suburb and check into our hotel for the evening before we attend dinner at Medieval Times where the 11th century comes to life. There will be horses and knights and jousting and lots of fun! It will be a great evening to spend together!

Day 4 – Schaumburg to Home
We board the motorcoach after breakfast and begin our trip towards home. We’ll enjoy telling stories of our adventures and watching the countryside pass by. We’ll stop for lunch along the way before we arrive back home.
