Chicago Summer Breezes

Day 02 – Chicago
Breakfast will be served at the hotel before we continue on our journey.  We’ll make a quick stop at the unique Rock’n’Roll McDonald’s for a coffee break on your own before we arrive in Chicago.  We’ll welcome a local step-on guide to take us on an interesting Untouchables Tour of the city.  Our hotel for the next two nights is perfectly located in Chicago’s downtown just steps from Magnificent Mile.  Dinner is on your own to choose from the many restaurants surrounding our hotel.  We’ll attend the evening broadway theatre performance “Wicked.”  Coined the best musical of the year by Time Magazine, “Wicked” is a story of the two other girls in the Land of Oz: One born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery, and misunderstood; the other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular.  How these two unlikely friends end up as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch make for the most spellbinding new musical in years.

Day 03 – Chicago
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some free time on Magnificent Mile, visiting its many trendy shops, galleries, and cafes.  Next, we’ll strap a mask and flippers onto our imagination and chart a course to Shedd, the World’s Largest Indoor Aquarium.  Have you ever sailed the Pacific Northwest on a whale-watching cruise? gotten eye-to-eye with a shark?  or followed a sea turtle as she soared through the Caribbean?  On our visit to the Shedd Aquarium, it’s all possible.  Later enjoy a luncheon cruise along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan and Chicago’s skyline.  We’ll spend some time at Navy Pier, a Chicago landmark, which was once a shipping and recreational facility as well as a military training site during two world wars.  Now it showcases a unique collection of restaurants and shops.  Join us in the evening for a farewell dinner at a favorite restaurant here in downtown Chicago!
