Travel to Chicago with R&J; We’ll Stay 3 nights in DOWNTOWN near ALL of the Best Sights and Attractions!

Day 1 – Home to Chicago

This morning we depart for Chicago with coffee stops and lunch along the way. Take in the passing Wisconsin scenery as you get to know your fellow traveling companions. Arrive in Chicago late afternoon. What better way to share our first dinner together than by eating famous Chicago stuffed pizza?

Day 2 – Chicago

After breakfast at the hotel, experience an interesting “Untouchable Tour” with the help of a local, gangster guide who will take us through the 1920s & 1930s Prohibition Era of Chicago and show us the hot spots, hit spots, and hideouts made famous by Al Capone. Then lunch will be served at Macy’s historic 7th floor in the Walnut Room where Chicagoans have eaten for generations. Next you will be captivated at the Shedd Aquarium, one of the world’s largest indoor aquariums. This evening will be at your leisure to choose from the many restaurants surrounding our hotel and the downtown area as you stroll along Magnificent Mile.

Day 3 – Chicago

Breakfast is served before we visit the unique exhibitions at the Field Museum. Enjoy time at Navy Pier for lunch before boarding our Architecture Cruise on the Chicago River this afternoon. Learn about Chicago’s historic role as the birthplace of modern American architecture and about more than 40 famous buildings along the scenic route. Next it is on to the Skydeck, where we will journey 103 stories up and get a grand view of the Chicago area. This evening we are guests at the Tommy Gun’s Garage, an audience interactive speakeasy, for a roaring twenties good time with great food & theatre.

Day 4 – Chicago to Home

Depart for home after breakfast at the hotel. A special lunch is planned at Burnstad’s European Cafe with time for browsing the charming shops. Return home this evening.
