Chicago Summer Breezes
1. Home to Chicago
This morning we depart on the Empire Builder train to Chicago. We’ll enjoy the sights along the way, passing Lake Pepin and arriving in Chicago late afternoon. Our motorcoach will meet us and we’ll settle into our hotel for a three night stay. Dinner will be on our own tonight.

2. Chicago
Breakfast is served at the hotel before we welcome a local step-on guide to show us the sights and architecture of Chicago. We’ll enjoy a luncheon cruise along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan and Chicago’s skyline. We’ll spend some time at Navy Pier, a Chicago landmark which was once a shipping and recreational facility, as well as military training site during two world wars, now showcasing a unique collection of restaurants and shops. This evening we are special guests at the Drury Lane Dinner Theater featuring “Nunsensations”!

3. Chicago
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before we depart for Magnificent Mile, where we’ll spend some time strolling its many trendy shops, galleries, and cafes. After lunch we’ll arrive at the Field Museum. There we’ll view the ‘King Tutankhamun & The Golden Age of the Pharoahs’ Exhibit, with treasures and artifacts from tombs of Egypt’s Valley of the Kings. This evening we are off to Chicago’s Roaring Twenties Speakeasy for an evening of food, fun, and theater enjoyment.

4. Chicago to Home
Depart for home after breakfast at the hotel. Lunch is on your own at Burnstads European Cafe with time for browsing all the charming shops. We will return home this evening.
