Christmas time is a wonderful time in our Nation’s Capital. Festive decorations are everywhere, holiday lighting adorning the streets and towering brightly lit Christmas trees.

Tour Feature! Five nights stay at the incredible, world reknown Gaylord National Resort Hotel at National Harbor. The resort is adorned for the Christmas Season in spectacular fashion and features Gaylord’s National ICE! Visitors step inside a winter wonderland created exclusively for this resort. This attraction is fully interactive, allowing guests to roam inside, around and on top of holiday scenes.

 

Day 1 – Home to Washington D.C.

– Morning direct flight to Reagan National Airport arriving early afternoon

– Relaxed time to take in the Gaylord National Indoor Resort

– Welcome Dinner at the hotel

– ICE! Show at Gaylord National Resort

 

Day 2 – Washington D.C.

– Breakfast at Gaylord  Included

– Guided tour of Washington DC including the White House, US Capitol, Washington Monument, Lincoln, Vietnam, WWII & Korean War Memorials

– Union Station – Lunch on own, Great holiday décor and model trains display

– Smithsonian Museum visit

– Included dinner at Old Ebbitts Grill near the White House

– Illuminated tour of Capitol Mall, Memorials, White House and the Capitol

 

Day 3 – Colonial Williamsburg

– Breakfast at Gaylord – Included

– Full day journey to Colonial Williamsburg – A step back into Colonial times just as it was at Christmastime. The Capitol, Governor’s Palace, scores of homes, shops, churches & public buildings, many original and located in an authentic 300 acre colonial village. A Christmas in the spirit of a time in our history fondly remembered.

– Included lunch in true Colonial holiday style.

– Late afternoon return to Gaylord.

– Dinner on own

– Evening free at the resort.

 

Day 4 – Mt. Vernon & U.S. Botanical Gardens

– Breakfast at Gaylord – Included

– Morning visit to George & Martha Washington’s Mt. Vernon Estate on the Potomac River for Christmas at Mt. Vernon. Mount Vernon is the most popular historic estate in America. Christmas at Mt. Vernon has been named as one of the “12 top Places to Catch the Holiday Spirit.”  We will enjoy holiday themed decorations (including 12 Christmas trees), a gingerbread replica of the Mansion, chocolate making demos and a tour of the

Mansion.

– Included lunch at the Mt. Vernon Inn

– Afternoon stop in Old Town Alexandria

– Dinner on own

– Evening visit to the US Botanical Gardens for Holiday decorations, lights, trees, poinsettias, fantastic model toy train displays and live music entertainment

 

Day 5 – Washington D.C.

– Breakfast at Gaylord – Included

– Arlington National Cemetery & Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

– Set sail with elegance aboard the Odyssey for an included lunch cruise on the Potomac River with stunning views of DC’s monuments!

– Return to hotel for dinner on own

– “Happy Holidays” by the National Symphony Orchestra (Conductors Brian Stokes Mitchell & Steve Reineke) at the Kennedy Center Opera House

 

Day 6 – Washington D.C. to Home
