Day 1 – Home to Chicago, IL

We begin our Christmas journey today as we travel over the river and through the prairies of Wisconsin. We’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at Burnstad’s European Restaurant. Be sure to check out the Christmas sales before we continue on to Chicago. After we check into our hotel, which is only two blocks from the “Magnificent Mile,” you will be able to enjoy the lights of the Christmas Season and dinner on your own at one of the many restaurants in the area.

Day 2 – Chicago

After a “warm you up” breakfast, we will first stop at the Museum of Science and Industry where you can enjoy the “Christmas Around the World” Christmas tree display. For lunch we will board the “Spirit of Chicago” for a delightful Holiday luncheon cruise on Lake Michigan, with the skyline of Chicago glimmering on shore. Some free time follows our cruise…maybe some shopping on the “Magnificent Mile” or just a stroll among all of the other Christmas shoppers. Then it is a special dinner at the famous “Walnut Room” in Macy’s before we attend the evening performance of “Elf the Musical” at the Cadillac Palace Theatre. We will have plenty of laughs as we travel with Buddy on his journey to find his identity and in doing so, we are warmed with the true meaning of Christmas.

Day 3 – Chicago to Fort Atkinson, WI

This morning after breakfast we will spend a little time in Chicago enjoying the sights and sounds of the holidays before we travel to the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower (formally Sears Tower) for a chance to view Chicago and the surrounding area from the Skydeck! Then just down the street we will make a stop at the Christkindlmarket where German tradition comes alive at this outdoor market filled with shops and delightful food opportunities. We’ll depart Chicago after lunch and head towards Fort Atkinson, WI. After checking into our hotel, we’ll drive to the Fireside Theatre for a delicious meal and the evening performance of “A Fireside Christmas.” We will enjoy beautiful singing, breath-taking dancing, gorgeous costumes, and a deeply spiritual commitment to the real meaning of the season. Fall asleep tonight with Christmas on your mind!

Day 4 – Fort Atkinson to Home

This morning we’ll enjoy breakfast before we travel to the Fanny Hill Dinner Theatre for lunch and the Christmas production of “A Carol of a Christmas.” This Christmas comedy will fill you with that extra dose of Yuletide cheer! Following this afternoon’s production, we will board our motorcoach for the short ride over the river and back home, ready to enjoy the Holidays!
