 It is R&J’s 30th Anniversary!! How many years are you and your sweetie celebrating? 

Day 1 – Home to Escanaba, MI 

Come discover the beauty of the Wisconsin countryside as well as Michigan while we enjoy getting to know our travel companions during our first day of travel. Dinner will be served in the charming town of Escanaba where we will overnight.

Day 2 – Escanaba to Mackinac Island, MI 

Cross the famous Mackinac Bridge to Mackinaw City and cruise to Mackinac Island today. Transportation there is limited to horse, carriage, bike, or foot! We’ll tour the island by horse-drawn carriage. Lunch will be served at the spectacular Grand Hotel featuring its Grand Luncheon Buffet. Then we check into The Grand Hotel, rich with history and boasting spectacular views that can be taken in from a rocking chair on the world’s longest porch! The afternoon is free to do as you please. Grab your sweetie to enjoy the grounds at the Grand Hotel or rent a bicycle and explore this quaint and lovely island! After an elegant evening of dressing up for dinner you may choose to take in some live music or how about ballroom dancing to the Grand Orchestra!

Day 3 – Mackinac Island to Ludington, MI 

After a delightful breakfast at the Grand Hotel, enjoy the morning at leisure. Take a stroll to the Tea Gardens for some lawn games or head out to the west end of the front porch for a history lecture from Hotel Historian, Bob Tagatz. This afternoon we’ll leave the beautiful island behind as we again ferry across Lake Huron to our awaiting motorcoach. This evening we enjoy dinner at the waterfront PM Steamers.

Day 4 – Ludington to Sheboygan 

This morning board the S.S. Badger for a relaxing cruise across beautiful Lake Michigan. While cruising enjoy a maritime historical display, feature films, Bingo, browsing the gift shop, or relaxing in one of the ship’s lounges or on the outside deck before we arrive in Manitowoc. We will then take a step back in time as we enjoy a light lunch at Beerntsen’s Confectionary. This afternoon we will visit the Wisconsin Maritime Museum as we explore the maritime heritage of the Great Lakes. Another fun stop will be at the Hearty Olive where we will learn and taste high quality olive oils, specialty oils, and balsamic vinegars that reinvent the way food is prepared. Next we will make our way to our two night stay at the Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, nestled on the western shore of the always-majestic Lake Michigan! As we settle into our lakeview rooms, be sure to pause and take in the gorgeous view. This evening enjoy dinner at a quaint local restaurant.

Day 5 – Sheboygan 

This morning after breakfast prepare for some hands-on experiences! We’ll begin the day at Relish Kitchen Store, a unique cook’s store in the heart of downtown, where we will have some fun trying out their gadgets and maybe even try some of our skills at chopping. Relish is the only retailer authorized to sell Sheboygan-manufactured, Vollrath commercial-quality kitchen products, to the public. Then onto the ever popular Olivu 426 by Caitlin Brotz, featuring all-natural handmade, skin and home care products. Have fun as you try your hand at mixing and matching to create your own lip balm & lotion, specifically for you. We’ll learn that these products even make their way to Hollywood! Her story is heart-warming and the store is delightful! After a very creative morning, we walk next door to the Black Pig for lunch with a twist. Not only is the food appealing, the building itself is a gem. Afterwards stroll through the world-renowned John Michael Kohler Arts Center where even the restrooms are a masterpiece! The exhibits here are simply out of this world, and we’ll experience firsthand why this center attracts visitors and artists from all over the world. The rest of the afternoon you will have free to enjoy. Take a romantic stroll along the boardwalk and riverfront or just relax and enjoy the amenities of the resort. This evening R&J has something special planned for you! What’s in store for the second half of your marriage? Together with Great Marriages of Sheboygan, we have arranged for a panel of speakers who have been married 40+ years. It will be a fun, inspiring night of how to reinvent your marriage and reconnect with one another for a happy and fulfilling second half of marriage!

Day 6 – Sheboygan to Home 

Leisure morning for you to enjoy a church service in the area. Maybe get in one last stroll along the waterfront before we board the coach for home and reminisce about the memories that were made on this Grand Romantic Journey!

On this new Grand Romantic Journey, we will explore quaint Mackinac Island and check into the Grand Hotel, featuring an elegant dinner & ballroom dancing! Two nights will be spent at the Blue Harbor Resort on the shores of Lake Michigan where beautiful sunrises await! We will also enjoy several hands-on experiences. Couples, friends, and even singles will find these highlights most enjoyable and perfect opportunities to connect with one another. To top it off, we have arranged a fun, inspiring marriage night with a seasoned panel of speakers that couples (and singles if they choose) will discover to be very fulfilling.
