As you relax aboard the M.S. Trollfjord, you’ll experience first-hand the way of life of a first-class passenger & working ship as breathtaking scenery & unique sights slowly pass by.

The Norwegian Coastal Voyage is a lifeline along a stretch of coast characterized by vast distances, a sparse population, and dramatic scenery. There is an air of history about the Norwegian Coastal Voyage. It has always been a part of coastal life, has always arrived at the ports, and has always been there to rely on for more than 100 years. The ships take children to their christenings, newlyweds on their honeymoons, and carry milk and vegetables to remote island communities. Works by recognized artists have helped the new ships gain renown as floating galleries. The Norwegian Coastal Voyage is a unique combination of first-class passenger ship and working ship. It is the perfect alternative to the traditional cruise for the independent, seasoned traveler. Enjoy a panoramic view of ever-changing, breathtaking scenery from the comfort of a deck chair or a chair in the lounge. There is always something happening…without much really happening at all. The ships travel at 16 knots, which means that you always have time to enjoy the journey, to make new friends, and to relax and take in the wonders of this amazing journey. So join us on an unforgettable treasure trove of landscapes, scenery, sights, and sounds.

You’ll have plenty of time to discover Trondheim’s secrets as you walk its charming streets, sit by the peaceful harbor, or cross the old city bridge to see the restored wooden buildings in Bakklandet. Don’t miss the great gothic cathedral of Nidaros, where the new kings of old Norway once received their official blessing. After Bodo, the ship heads out to open sea for the Lofoten Islands with their picturesque cabins on stilts and weathered wooden racks with drying cod. They are known for excellent fishing, nature attractions and small villages off the beaten track. In the evening, your Norwegian cruise takes you through the narrow Raftsund Strait, passing the looming crags of the Trollfjord. Lunch and dinner on board your ship.
