Day 1 – Home to Milwaukee, WI

Today we depart by luxury motorcoach to Milwaukee for German Fest, “Milwaukee’s Original HAUS Party!” We’ll enjoy an included lunch along the way as well as stops at Clausen’s Bakery and the Mustard Museum. Settle into your hotel this evening for a relaxing, three-night stay.

Day 2 – Milwaukee

Start the morning off with an included breakfast at the hotel before departing on a Milwaukee city tour with a step-on guide. Milwaukee is Wisconsin’s largest city and is known as a brewing and manufacturing powerhouse. Our Milwaukee tour will give us a good overview of the city’s history and current progress. We’ll learn about the influence that German immigration had on architecture, business and social culture, as well as hear about several famous beer barons who turned Milwaukee into “Brew City.” We’ll see beautiful architecture including Milwaukee City Hall, Pabst Theater, as well as several churches – Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Old St. Mary’s Church, Grace Lutheran (including the interior) and Trinity Lutheran – which all had large German based congregations. We’ll enjoy lunch at Milwaukee Ale House on the Milwaukee River and then continue our tour with samples of what makes Milwaukee and Wisconsin famous – cheese and beer! Dinner is served tonight at Rock Bottom Brewery.

Day 3 – Milwaukee German Fest

Breakfast is included again at the hotel this morning. We will head to the Harley-Davidson Museum for an interesting self-guided tour. Then we are treated to lunch at Mader’s German Restaurant. The remainder of our day will be spent at German Fest where the atmosphere is relaxing and merry! Who feels like some Bienenstich, Kasseler Rippchen, Knoedel, Kartoffel Pfannkuchen, or Spanferkel? These are just a few of the scrumptious foods available at German Fest. Enjoy all the festivities, like great music, food, and beer, at your leisure throughout the afternoon and evening. We’ll end our day enjoying a display of fireworks filling the sky over Lake Michigan.

Day 4 – Milwaukee to Home

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before we depart for home with a little more German running through our veins!
