We’ll enjoy some of the best Amish/Mennonite cooking around, we’ll attend two memorable concerts filled with Christmas music, we’ll shop at the Riegsecker Marketplace for locally crafted items, we’ll tour around town in an Amish buggy, and we’ll explore the interesting Menno-Hof Museum to learn all about the faith & life of Amish and Mennonites!
Day 1 – Home to Lake Elkhart, WI
Today we begin our Christmas travel eastward. Following an included lunch along the way, we arrive in Lake Elkhart, WI at the beautiful and delightful, Osthoff Resort. Here we are welcome to enjoy the authentic European-Style Christmas Market, horse drawn wagon ride, first-rate dining, splendid accommodations, and unparalleled German hospitality – Just enjoy!!

Day 2 – Lake Elkhart to Shipshewana, IN
We depart after a wonderful breakfast at the resort, stopping for lunch on our own along the way, and travel to Shipshewana. This is Amish country – a perfect fit for our Christmas journey – we’ll be ready to take in all that Shipshewana has to offer! This evening we’ll enjoy an Amish family-style dinner before an evening Christmas concert by Phillips, Craig & Dean. Since their formation more than 25 years ago, Phillips, Craig and Dean have achieved remarkable status in the Christian music industry. They have had more than 25 no. 1 hits, won at least four GMA Dove Awards, including Inspirational Album of the Year for “Above It All.” “Revelation Song” and “Crucified with Christ” are just a couple of their famous Christian hits. This should be a beautiful concert!

Day 3 – Shipshewana
Following a delicious breakfast at our hotel, we will visit the Menno-Hof Museum, where we’ll learn about the faith and life of Amish and Mennonites! Menno-Hof’s multi-image presentations, historical environments, and colorful displays take us on a fascinating journey inside the unique world of the Amish and Mennonites. After visiting the museum, there will be time for taking a great Amish buggy ride, browsing the many intriguing shops of Shipshewana, and enjoying lunch. Then we head to the Shipshewana Theatre located within the Blue Gate Restaurant to see the delightful new musical, “The Christmas Tree Ship.” It’s all about a ship, a storm, and a Christmas story of heroic proportions. Inspired by a true story of one woman’s unsinkable determination to continue her husband’s mission of bringing Christmas trees to their Chicago community. This evening our buffet dinner will be at the Blue Gate Restaurant before we attend a concert treat of “The Collingsworth Family” at the event center. The Collingsworth Family has been entertaining and inspiring listeners for decades. The excitement, spiritual anointing, family emphasis, and musical excellence is something to see and hear!

Day 4 – Shipshewana to Fort Atkinson, WI
Today we are traveling to Ft. Atkinson, with a quick stop for lunch on your own along the way. We’ll arrive in time to check into our hotel for the night before we are dinner guests at the impressive Fireside Dinner Theatre for their special holiday production of “A Christmas Story: The Musical.” Ralphie wants only one thing for Christmas: an official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle. “A Christmas Story: The Musical,” is the hilarious account of Ralphie’s desperate quest to ensure that this most perfect gift ends up under his tree this Christmas. It is based on the classic 1983 movie that has become a holiday tradition that millions wait for every year. The Fireside is one of America’s premier dinner theatres with superb professional musicians, memorable dining, spectacular shops and fabulous service.
