Day 1 – Home to New York City

Today we fly to New York City, where we’ll be transported to our hotel, the Sheraton Manhattan at Times Square. The location of our hotel is perfect for seeing the city over the next few days! Take in the exciting Big Apple around you as we make our way to a Broadway play this evening.

Hotel: Manhattan at Times Square (3 Nights)

Days 2 & 3 – New York City

These two delightful days will be filled with great sights & experiences as we explore NYC. Our local expert guide will lead us on a journey we’ll long remember, including ferrying out to the Statue of Liberty, symbolizing American freedom to all. Visit Ellis Island and discover, by exhibits, the 12 million people who came here looking for a better life. Depending on traffic, our guide will possibly take us to Wall Street, World Trade Site, Chinatown, the Garment District, Empire State Building, the Lincoln Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, Greenwich Village, St. John the Divine Cathedral, a walk through Central Park, a visit to Harlem, spectacular 5th Avenue, Grand Central Station, Ground Zero, and much more! Plus you’ll experience traveling by Subway like the native New Yorkers do!

Days 4 & 5 – NYC to Washington D.C.

This morning we bid NYC good-bye as we board an Amtrak fast train to Washington D.C. The train’s superior comfort, upscale amenities, and speeds up to 150 mph provide a memorable experience! Over the next two days there is much to see in our Nation’s Capital: the Vietnam, Korean, WWII, and Iwo Jima Memorials, the Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Martin Luther King Memorials, the Smithsonian Institute, the White House, the Capitol, the Washington Monument, and so much more. Your journey through our country’s history over these two days is remarkable! Both nights will be spent at the historic & luxurious Capital Hilton that’s just two blocks from the White House!

Included Meals: King Street Blues

Hotel: Capital Hilton (2 Nights)

Day 6 – Washington D.C. to Home

Visiting the Arlington National Cemetery this morning and witnessing the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier will remind us of how thankful we are for the sacrifices made for our country’s freedom. We’ll then catch our flight for home, remembering the adventure shared, history learned, and fun experiences had by us all!

A Note about Meals:

With the exception of an included dinner in Alexandria, VA, meals are not included on this tour. We will be on the go in both cities, making it hard to plan group meals. Also, we wanted to give you the opportunity to choose the type of local food that you will enjoy the most and in the price range that you choose.
