A Scandinavian Celebration

Day 1 – Home to Minot, ND

This morning we board our luxury touring coach for the Norsk Hostfest with coffee breaks and noon lunch along the way. We might even have a bit of quiet time this afternoon during our long travel day, as we’ve got an exciting evening planned! We’ll get started right away with the Hostfest festivities as we discover a few of their dining options before we take in a magnificent performance by The Million Dollar Quartet! This Tony® Award-nominated musical is set on December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever. Million Dollar Quartet brings that legendary December night to life with an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations that is both poignant and funny. Relive the era with the smash-hit sensation featuring an incredible score of rock ‘n’ roll, gospel, R&B and country hits, performed live onstage by world-class actors and musicians. Showcased hit songs include “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Walk the Line,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Who Do You Love?,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Hound Dog,” and more. This show is sponsored by Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation. Tonight we’ll sleep wonderfully at our home for the next 3 nights.

Hotel: Hampton Inn, Minot  (3 Nights)

Day 2 – Minot

This morning, following a wonderful breakfast, we’re off the Hostfest again for a full day taking in all the festival has to offer! Enjoy daily performances such as Williams & Ree, Swedes in the Weeds, Ricky Nelson Remembered, Mollie B, Viking reenactments and much, much more! Enjoy a few Scandinavian treats at one of the many food vendor booths and feast on a wonderful lunch before our afternoon show! Daniel O’Donnell, a favorite with so many of our travelers, will wow us as he sings his traditional Irish ballads, country favorites, and traditional gospel with an Irish twist. This international award winning superstar is well-known for his charismatic and engaging stage presence. Following the show, enjoy dinner at any of the fabulous Hostfest vendors before our fantastic evening show with the legendary Oak Ridge Boys!

Included Meals: Breakfast

Day 3 – Minot

This morning, depending on weather, we’ll take in a special stop at Scandinavian Heritage Park on our way to Hostfest. Walk inside a full-sized replica of Gol Stave Church, take a photo next to the 30 foot Dala horse, and view the inside of the oldest house in North Dakota, the 230 year old Sigdahl house, shipped direct from Norway and reconstructed here at the park. Next, we’ll head on over to Hostfest for more exploring of the 5 country exhibits and indulge on some fantastic Scandinavian food for lunch before we take in our last performance of the tour. Terry Fator is among the world’s most gifted and accomplished ventriloquists, and is able to perform in more than 200 celebrity voices! Maybe one last walk through the Hostfest grounds will be in order before we say goodbye for this year. Our included farewell dinner will be at Badlands Grill before we arrive back at our hotel for our last night in Minot.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
