Day 1 – Home to Phoenix
Today we board our flight for “The Valley of the Sun,” Phoenix, Arizona for a relaxing five night stay in our suite hotel located in Old Town Scottsdale.

Day 2 – Phoenix
A local step on guide will enhance all the history and sights that the Phoenix area has to offer.  Enjoy the beauty and vitality of downtown Phoenix, a modern city on the move!   Return to the hotel for some free time.  This evening is at your leisure.

Day 3 – Phoenix
Today we take a short scenic drive along the Apache Trail to the Superstition Mountains with a delicious included lunch at the famous Tortilla Flats, complete with the World’s Best Killer Chili, and lively entertainment.  Enjoy a relaxing cruise by steamboat on Arizona’s beautiful desert Canyon Lake.  Experience the splendor of the canyon, wildlife, and unique desert plants. This evening attend the Barleen Family’s Arizona Opry.
Music Dinner Theater.

Day 4 – Phoenix
Today is at leisure.  Relax and soak up the warm Arizona sun by the beautiful poolside or maybe take in a game of tennis or golf.  Take advantage of the hotel’s perfect location in sunny Scottsdale, including the Scottsdale Trolley that will take you to the charming shops and attractions of the Scottsdale area.  Some may want to check out one of the Spring Training Baseball games that are here during this time.

Day 5 – Phoenix
After an included breakfast we are going to visit Fountain Hills situated on the eastern slope of the McDowell Mountains about 500 feet in elevation above Phoenix.  We’ll capture the beauty of the world’s highest fountain, a celebration of water in the Desert.  At its full height of 560 feet, the fountain is higher than the Washington Monument.  Enjoy an included lunch at one of the lovely restaurants overlooking the fountain.  Return to the hotel for a relaxing night at leisure.

Day 6 – Phoenix to Tucson
This morning we make our way to the “most sunny city” in America, Tucson.  We’ll make a stop at the De Grazia Art Gallery, a landmark in Tucson that welcomes thousands of visitors each year.  Later, we’ll enjoy a narrated tram tour of Sabino Canyon where waterfalls, flowing mountain streams, clear cool pools, and rock walls hundreds of feet high create a marvelous natural environment.  We’ll relax and get settled into our suites at the Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites for a leisurely 5 night stay in beautiful Tucson.

Day 7 – Tucson
A local step-on guide shows us the sights of Tucson including avisit to the Sonora Desert Museum, ranked as one of the greatest natural museums in the world!  It’s exhibits are absolutely first rate.  See Giant Saguara Cactii that will amaze you!  This evening you are guests at a ranch outside of Tucson.  Enjoy an outdoor BBQ under the stars with great western entertainment.

Day 8 – Tucson
After breakfast visit the old western town of Tombstone “The town too tough to Die”.  Tombstone was perhaps the most renowned of Arizona’s old mining camps and noted for the infamous Earp-Clanton battle, fought near the rear entrance of the O.K. Corral in 1881.  See many of Tombstone’s historic buildings-all within a few blocks of downtown Tombstone.  Truly a historical American Landmark, Tombstone is American’s best example of our 1880 western heritage- we’ll give time to browse this unique town.  A delightful lunch is served at the Longhorn Restaurant in Tombstone.  As we travel onto Sierra Vista, we’ll hear the story of Our Lady of the Sierras Shrine, a national historic landmark that evokes a feeling for the past. Our final stop of the day will be at the winery in the Village of Elgin.  Return to Tucson for a relaxing evening at your leisure.

Day 9 – Tucson
Today Is a free day to sit back relax and soak up some deep Tuscon sunshine.  An option you may choose is a trip to the Pima Air & Space Museum where history takes flight.  It is one of the largest air and space museums in the world, where you will see more than 275 aircraft and spacecrafts including many of the most historically significant and technically advanced craft ever produced.

Day 10 – Tucson
Today we’ll take a trip down to the quaint and historic town of Tubac.  We’ll take some time exploring this small artist community with some 80 unique shops and galleries populate the village.  This afternoon we will tour the beautiful Mission San Xavier Del Bac, the Grand “White Dove of the Desert.”  Return to Tucson for a relaxing evening at leisure.

Day 11 – Tucson to Home
(Fly away group departs today) After breakfast we depart for the airport and board our flight for home with memories of a great south western vacation.
