Day 1 – Home to San Juan, Puerto Rico
Board your flight today for San Juan, Puerto Rico.   Arrive in San Jose and check into your hotel for a two night stay.  Enjoy a welcome drink this evening before dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 – San Juan
Breakfast is served at the hotel this morning.  A primer descriptive tour Old San Juan narration of Old San Juan is the fastest way to get acquainted with the fines and most exquisite example of neo-classic and military architecturally designed city in the new world.    The city is surrounded, enfolded, enwrapped by its Old San Juan magnificent wall.  Landmarks include the Capitol building, La Casa de Espana, El Casino de Puerto Rico, Fort San Cristobal, the first University of General Studies in the new world, the Oldest Catholic church still being used in the New World, the Palace of Santa Catalina.  Engaged columns, rustication elements, house structures crowned with cornice, single, double, triple balconies, blue “adoquines” on the ground, and watch the people as they visit the new Pirates of the Caribbean in the jewelry shops.  Sanjuaneros have Fidel Castro to thank for the world’s largest rum distillery calling Puerto Rico home. Bacardi built their first distillery in Cuba in 1862. When the Castro regime confiscated the factory in the 1960s the family moved operations to Cataño, across San Juan Bay from the heart of the city. A short drive brings you to the “Cathedral of Rum” for a tour. You will learn what it takes to produce 100,000 gallons per day of the heady concoction. There is also a small museum about the history of the Bacardi family.  Return to the hotel for a leisurely afternoon and evening.  This evening you are special guests at a top restaurant in San Juan serving up great food and entertainment.

Day 3 – San Juan
After breakfast we’ll see the countryside of lovely Puerto Rico as we make our way to Ponce a delightful town full of history. The museum of Art in Ponce alone, makes the trip a must for any traveler!  See the finest collection of European and latin American art in the Caribbean. Visit Ponce’s Square Las Delicias.  Indian laurel trees, fountains, the the most unique Firehouse on planet earth “El Parque de Bombas.”   Get your camera ready for seom great shots as we will be able to appreciate the beauty of this city from the top of the hill at “El Vigia Cross”.  As we make our way back to our hotel we’ll stop at the Serralles Mansion where a guided tour let’s you get the essence of lifestyle of the rich and famous family who invented the formula for Rum Don Q.


Day 4 – San Juan
Today we explore National Caribbean Tropical Rain Forest also known as El Yunque.  Stop at the waterfall La Coca, the Yocahu Tower (1575 feet above the mean sea level), then on to the Palo Colorado Trail.  You may see some of the predominant species of trees like Ausubos, Yagrumos, Magnolia Splendens, Almond Trees, Mango Trees, and Breadfruit Trees.  Giant Sierra Tree ferns, matrix ferns, termite nests.  Impatiens, hibiscuses, ginger lilies, hellicons.  Bromeliads will be hooked on tree trunks. Watch for lizards and listen to the El Coqui Frog.  Find the nesting boxes for the Amazon Parrot of Puerto Rico. Eye hunt for the Puerto Rican Todies and Reinitas. A delightful picnic lunch is included today among this natural wonder.  Return to the hotel for a restful evening.

Day 5 – San Juan
Breakfast is served at your leisure this morning.  The resort is your playground today.  Enjoy a “dine around” pass this evening to choose from the many restaurant of your outstanding hotel, El Conquistador Resort. Enjoy a walk or simply relax by the pool.

Day 6 – San Juan
Sleep late and enjoy breakfast at your leisure today.  Some may want to take an optional fishing excursion, horseback riding, golfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, or an array of other activities.  Relax by the sparkling pool or take a walk on the beach.  Dinner is served at the resort this evening.

Day 7 – San Juan
Today relax and enjoy the beautiful resort.  There is much to do here
