Day 1 – Home to San Diego
This morning we depart on our exciting winter getaway.  We will check into the beautiful Embassy Suites overlooking the breathtaking San Diego Bay for a five night stay.  Enjoy a full cooked to order breakfast daily and a nightly reception each evening.

Day 2 – San Diego
We welcome a local step-on guide, as we tour the interesting sights of San Diego and historic Old Town.  Later enjoy a comfortable sightseeing boat cruise of the San Diego Harbor, with sunny decks for your sightseeing pleasure.  The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 3 – San Diego
Today explore Balboa Park.  R & J Tours has arranged a one day pass with choices to any four of the 13 cultural attractions.

Day 4 – San Diego
Relax poolside in the California sunshine or choose from the many attractions in the area.  This evening, enjoy an included dinner and show at the elegant Lawrence Welk Theatre.

Day 5 – San Diego
Today you are free to enjoy the beautiful hotel and surrounding area as you wish.  One option: take the Old Town Trolley, with full narration and stops at the highlights along the way.  Feel free to get on and off for shopping and sightseeing.  Some may want to browse the charming Seaport Village, the Gaslight District, or visit SeaWorld with live shows and exhibits of marine life.

Day 6 – San Diego to Anaheim
After breakfast we bid good-bye to San Diego and enjoy sweeping coastal vistas as we motor along the ocean side.  We will stop at San Juan Capistrano and then on to Laguna Beach for browsing the charming shops or maybe a stroll along the breathtaking oceanfront.  Check into the beautiful Marriott Suites for a 4 night stay.

Day 7 – Anaheim
This morning we’ll enjoy a city tour of exciting Los Angeles.  See Mann’s Chinese Theater where the footprints of the stars line the sidewalk, as well as the Kodak Theatre, home of the Academy Awards.  Motor along Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills.  Get an inside scoop on the history and beauty of this area.  Enjoy a stop at the Farmer’s Market.  The rest of the day is yours to enjoy.  There is much to do In the area as your hotel is In a prime location in Anaheim.

Day 8 – Anaheim
Today is yours to enjoy at leisure.  Some may want to choose from are the nearby Theme parks, or the Getty Museum.  Or maybe you want to just sit poolside for a relaxing day!

Day 9 – Anaheim
This morning attend church at the beautiful Crystal Cathedral.  After the service re-live the golden age of luxurious ocean travel as we board the famous Queen Mary for an elegant lunch.  Take time to walk the long, scenic decks of this luxurious ocean liner!

Day 10 – Anaheim – Palm Springs
Today we make our way the Palm Spring and check into the beautiful resort hotel located in the heart of Palm Springs for 6 nights!   Your hotel is perfectly located near famous Palm Canyon Drive which offers an abundance of unique restaurants and wonderful shops and boutiques.

Day 11 – Palm Springs
Awake in paradise and enjoy breakfast at your leisure. A local step on guide joins us this afternoon to show us around Palm Springs including the neighborhoods of the rich and famous.   We’ll take an included trip to the Living Desert Museum where you will see beautiful displays of desert plant and wildlife.  Enjoy lunch at Melvyn’s, an elegant restaurant which has long been a favorite with celebrities.

Day 12 – Palm Springs
Early morning is at your leisure.  We then will board covered wagons and head into the California desert.  Hear about desert plants and wildlife.  Enjoy an included barbecue lunch with western entertainment.  The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Day 13 – Palm Springs
Today we will go up to the mountain to the lovely village of Idyllwild.  Nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains this town is set among tall pines, sweet smelling cedars and legendary rocks. The town has kept its “small town” atmosphere.   Browse the locally owned shops and restaurants.  This evening you can enjoy the traditional Village Fest!  Discover an old-time street fair that transforms downtown Palm Springs into a charming international bazaar with over 100 vendors featuring a farmers market, fine art, ceramics, woodworking, entertainment, and antiques.

Day 14 – Palm Springs
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure.  Today our local guide will take us to Joshua Tree National Park and into the Twenty Nine Palms village area.  Visit Joshua Tree National Museum and Visitor’s Center and enjoy lunch at the Roadhouse Café.  Return to Palm Springs and tonight you are guests at The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies where all the performers are 50 to 80 years young!  Enjoy this spectacular musical revue!

Day 15 – Palm Springs
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure.  This morning we enjoy a spectacular aerial tram ride as you ascend to pristine wilderness.
The panoramic view of Palm Springs from atop this 8,500 ft peak of Mount San Jacinto is amazing!

Day 16 – Palm Springs – Home
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure.  Today we board our flight home.
