Join us as we celebrate…

Spring – It’s here!

New Life! Fresh Start! Bright Beginnings!

Spring is in the Air! There’s Music Everywhere!

Three great shows that will have you singing, laughing, tapping your toes, and maybe even dancing!

But one thing is for sure: you’ll be enjoying every minute of it.

Day 1 – Home to Oglesby, IL

Travel to The Lodge in beautiful Starved Rock State Park where new spring growth is just emerging. This evening we enjoy a wonderful home-cooked meal in the Lodge dining room. We are joyfully entertained this evening by Mary and The Troublemakers. Candid, refreshing, and talented only begins to describe the diversity of their show. Their music centers around the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. They even take requests!!

Included Meals: Dinner

Hotel: Starved Rock Lodge

Day 2 – Oglesby to Moline, IL

A great Lodge breakfast is served as you have time to enjoy a leisurely morning. Then it’s just a short drive to Moline, Illinois, so we have time for a surprise stop or two. We check into the comfy Stoney Creek Inn, our home for this evening. Tonight we are guests of the incomparable Circa 21 Dinner Theatre and “You Smell Barn.” From the basement to the barn, the beloved Church Basement Ladies are back and getting busy with life outside the kitchen. After the last hotdish is served, the coffee pot is emptied, and the jello molds are put away, these steadfast, sturdy women head to their farms and get on with their daily chores. In between picking eggs, milking cows, and dusting knickknacks, they congregate with some of the other lovable folks who inhabit this rural community. With plenty of crazy antics, loads of fresh laughs, and new original songs, “You Smell Barn” celebrates rural life in the 1950’s. And at the center of it all are your favorite Church Basement Ladies!

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Hotel: Stoney Creek Inn  (2 Nights)

Day 3 – Moline & Le Claire

Breakfast is served at our comfy Inn before we enjoy a relaxed day. The Great River Walking Trail (paved) originates at the Stoney Creek Inn and follows along the banks of the Mississippi for miles. You would have time to enjoy that if you so choose. We have selected several venues to explore today just up the river a few miles in historic Le Claire. First, The American Pickers, of TV fame is located there and we have made special arrangements for a visit. Some of the most unique findings in the world are featured in this place, called Antique Archaeology. Second, we bet you didn’t know the Buffalo Bill Museum is located here. Providing Covid 19 policies will allow, we will make a visit to this fascinating place. A number of excellent historic exhibits including the Paddleboat Lone Star are a part of this attraction. Very unique exploring and shopping is on tap at Aunt Hattie’s Fanciful Emporium and The Shameless Chocoholic. Lunch is on your own in downtown Le Claire. This afternoon we can’t miss the opportunity right at our doorstep. Just a few blocks from our Inn is the Historic Deere-Wiman House of John Deere reknown. We have arranged for a guided tour of that nostalgic place. A visit to the fascinating John Deere Pavilion rounds out our afternoon adventure. We don’t even have to leave the comfort of our surroundings to enjoy our dinner show this evening. A scrumptious dinner buffet precedes great musical entertainment with The Josh Duffee Band. These gifted musicians are well known for offering the style and genre of music we have preferred for a lifetime!

Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Show

Day 4 – Moline to Home

We travel home, joyously reliving the Spring Sing Fling we’ve experienced the last three days. But our great adventure has a little more to offer. Along the route is a little gem often passed by in our rush to get to our next destination. Located by the World’s Largest Truck Stop is the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum. Step back in time with neatly displayed exhibits of trucking history, with antique models and vintage memorabilia. We’ll find that every truck has a story to tell and can provide a unique glimpse into days gone by. Many rare and one-of-a-kind trucks are on display. View short films about trucking history in their REO theater; a great way to learn even more about the trucks of yesteryear. There is no better place to dine than in The Amana Colonies and The Ox Yoke Inn is the “gold standard.” Lunch is on us, so enjoy. You’ll even have a little time to select some great Amish products to take home.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
