Day 1 – Home to Sturgeon Bay, WI
We pick you up at your front door and head east through the beautiful, picturesque state of Wisconsin. Along the way, we will stop for a coffee break and lunch on your own before arriving at our destination, The Stone Harbor Inn located in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Being located on the historic waterfront, it is just steps away from shopping, galleries and museums. This evening we will dine at the resort while we relax and talk with our new found friends, anticipating together our next few days in Door County.

Day 2 – Door County
Before we set out for the day, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast at the resort. We’ll see the peninsula with its quaint villages, beautiful countryside, and wonderful orchards as we depart with our step-on guide to tour the best that Door County has to offer! We’ll visit scenic Cave Point in the Whitefish Dunes State Park after which, we will enjoy a concert and then lunch at Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant, a true favorite of many! Following lunch we will stop at Koepsel’s Farm Market for a chance to purchase homemade jams, jellies and other items. Then a stop at the Boynton Chapel, a small wooden church built in the 12th century featuring Norwegian stave church style, will give us a real taste of Norwegian history. The evening is free to have dinner and shop the historic downtown area.

Day 3 – Door County
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the resort before we once again board the motorcoach with our very knowledgeable and fun step-on guide to see more of the incredible sights of Door County. We start our tour at the Maritime Museum where you will see how the maritime pioneers worked and what they made, and you’ll understand and appreciate your visit to Door County on a deeper, more engaged level. We then continue our journey around Door County when we make a stop at the precious “Old Rugged Cross.” We’ll take a drive out to the Shipping Canal where several famous lighthouses mark the course of the canal, including the Sturgeon Bay Canal Lighthouse. Later, drive along scenic Bay Shore Drive with a stop in historic Egg Harbor where we will have time for shopping and lunch on our own. We’ll make a stop at Eagle Bluff Lighthouse and spend some time in the quaint village of Fish Creek. Tonight our included dinner will be an experience you won’t forget! We will enjoy one of the best fish boils in Door County, in a traditional 1900’s setting at Pelletier’s.

Day 4 – Sturgeon Bay to Home
After one more included breakfast at the resort, you may want to take in a morning stroll or just sit back and bid farewell with one last look at beautiful Door County before we pack up our things and begin our journey home. Reminisce with your new friends as we traverse the Wisconsin highways back to Minnesota!
