Day 1 – Home to Winnipeg

Included Meals: Dinner

Hotel: Humphry Inn & Suites (4 Nights)

Day 2 – Winnipeg

This morning enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel before a local guide joins us as we explore this beautiful city with its cosmopolitan and unique sights. We’ll visit beautiful Assiniboine Park, boasting 376 acres of lawns, trees, and a beautiful English Garden. Sights include the Historic Exchange District, the “French Quarter” with the St. Boniface Cathedral, and we’ll have some free time at the Forks, Winnipeg’s number one tourist destination, located at the junction of the Assiniboine & mighty Red Rivers. A meeting place for over 6,000 years for early Aboriginal trading, fur trading, Scottish settlers, and tens of thousands of immigrants. Rich in history and natural beauty, it now has an array of dining and shopping experiences. Ever wanted to visit Churchill and see the polar bears? We will have an opportunity to visit the new exhibit “Journey to Churchill” at the Assiniboine Park Zoo, a unique and inviting destination where warm spaces welcome you as you come face to face with polar bears. Inside the Sea Ice Passage, you will be thrilled by polar bears and ringed seals swimming overhead and darting amongst the ice. Return to the hotel and enjoy some free time before attending Folklorama and experience delicious food, song, and dance at three Super Gourmet Pavilions.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 3 – Winnipeg

After breakfast we visit Fort Gibraltar on the banks of the Red River, where colorful characters living to the “beat” of 1815 greet us & take us to a world away. Once a North West Company fur trade post, Fort Gibraltar reflects the lifestyle of the settlement and the roles played by the Metis, settlers, explorers, aboriginal people and the adventuresome voyageurs. Visit the Trading Post, Workshop, Blacksmith’s Shop, and more before enjoying a traditional French lunch at the Fort. Next we tour the Winnipeg Royal Canadian Mint, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility established in 1976. They say that money makes the world go ‘round’ and here’s our chance to see first-hand where it all begins. Tonight we attend Sister Act, a live musical entertainment at Rainbow Stage, Canada’s longest-running outdoor theatre! Sister Act tells the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and is hidden by the cops in the last place anyone would think to look—a convent!

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4 – Winnipeg

Breakfast is served before we’re special guests at a Hutterite Colony for a home-cooked lunch and tour. This will be a memory you will long remember as this personal visit reflects their ways, beliefs, and progressive farming. We’ll return to the hotel and freshen up before we’re off to Shaw Park, a state-of-the-art ballpark located along the Red River. There will be time to enjoy something to eat from the variety of concession stands. Tonight we will watch the Fargo-Moorhead Red Hawks take on the Winnipeg Goldeyes!

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
