Next we are guests for the Dazzling Diamond Variety Show. An array of mouth watering food and homemade dessert will be served for lunch followed by an engaging one-man performance featuring the music of Neil Diamond and the stories that inspired the songs. Be sure to have your good walking shoes on as this afternoon our destination is Castle Noel, America’s largest indoor year-around Christmas entertainment attraction. With our guide, we’ll step into the Castle of Christmas Enchantment to walk through this amazing collection of Christmas movie memorabilia (like the Grinch’s sleigh) and beautiful, animated holiday decorations straight from the store windows of New York City and Toronto. We will be transported back into time as we view the displays with all the wonder of a child. Experience a 25’ Christmas tree, Christmas toys from the past, giant rotating snowflakes with millons of jewels, and much more! Afterwards we travel back to Ohio’s Amish Country for dinner at Farmstead Restaurant, where the tradition of an Amish barn-raising meal or a Mennonite church potluck, leaves us more than satisfied! Rest well tonight as we have another full day planned for tomorrow.

Day 5 – Berlin

After another breakfast, we will visit the Warther Museum Festival of Trees, which showcases the fabulous carvings by the World’s Master Carver, Mooney Warther. Our guide will lead us through the display of over 100 trees, wreaths, and other holiday decorations throughout the museum – all set up as a fund raiser for the local hospital! We’ll also view the family home decorated as a 1920’s holiday scene when the Warther children would gather at the family home. Then we travel to Cambridge for a special guided walking tour of Dickens Village. The Dickens scenes are stationed at each antique lamppost and bench, in windows on street level, and in second story windows along Wheeling Avenue, an outstanding streetscape of original buildings from the 1800s. Comprised of life-sized, hand-made mannequins wearing real vintage clothing with faces individually sculpted and painted by local artists. The displays include engaging depictions of classic Dickens-era scenes and figures such as Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim, the town crier, groups of carolers, a bucket brigade, lamplighters, school children, street peddlers, and Father Christmas. We’ll even have the opportunity to try on Victorian wear and have our pictures taken with the beautiful Christmas tree, Charles Dickens, or the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge! Next we’ll enjoy a stocking stuffer tour in downtown Cambridge, receiving various treasures to place in our holiday goodie bags along the way! For dinner we will dine in a restaurant that dates back to 1931. Tonight we are guests for “White Christmas” by Irving Berlin! We’ll join singers Bob Wallace and Phil Davis as they pair up with sister act Betty and Judy Haynes to perform a Christmas show in rural Vermont. There, they run into Gen. Waverly, the boys’ commander in WWII, who, they learn, is having financial difficulties; his quaint country inn is failing. So what’s the foursome to do but plan a yuletide miracle: a fun-filled musical extravaganza that’s sure to put Waverly and his business in the black! The show is performed without a hitch – “Happy Holiday/White Christmas” – and snow begins to fall as the foursome celebrate their love in the finale “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm.” Our night isn’t over yet as we witness the historic 1881 courthouse come alive with 30,000 pulsating lights synchronized to holiday music!

Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 6 – Berlin

Following breakfast at the hotel, we’ll visit Harry London’s Candy (Fanny Mae), it will be the perfect opportunity for you to purchase some delicious stocking stuffers! Then we head to the Canton Palace Theatre for their delightful holiday show, “Canton Christmas Celebration!” This musical variety show will feature live music on the Kilgen Pipe Organ, choral groups featuring the fabulous Vox Audio, dancing, and more! The gorgeous theater was built in the 1920’s and is one of the few remaining atmospheric theaters in the US. Its ceiling features stars and clouds in the night sky overlooking a Spanish courtyard auditorium.
