Day 2 – Delavan to Shipshewana, IN

Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning before we board our coach for Shipshewana’s charming Amish country. After getting settled into our rooms for the next three nights, a mouth-watering buffet awaits at the Blue Gate Restaurant – we promise you won’t leave hungry! Tonight, we’re guests for a spectacular concert by The Collingsworth Family! This incredible, musically-talented family will entertain us with their Classics & Hymns tour. When the last note is played, our hearts will be full!

Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Hotel: Blue Gate Garden Inn (3 Nights)

Day 3 – Shipshewana

A delicious breakfast spread starts our day off great! This morning is free to browse the quaint shops of Shipshewana or visit the interesting “Menno-Hof: Amish & Mennonite Story” Museum on your own. Then we’ll gather together for a tasty soup, sandwich, and salad lunch at the Blue Gate Restaurant. This afternoon we’ll take in “The Rise and Fall of Miss Fannie’s Biscuits: The Musical.” Mysteries have a way of following Fannie Miller, so when she makes it into the finals of the Tuscarawas County Baking Contest and contestants start disappearing, she calls on her old friend Foster Bates, a retired cop and part-time private investigator. Could it be that other finalists are somehow responsible for these disappearances, thinning out the competition? Like the couple on the verge of divorce who need the prize money, or the three Beiler sisters, always in a huddle whispering. One thing is for certain – Foster and Fannie will stay on the case until the end, and everyone involved will have learned something important about baking contests, solving mysteries, and life. Afterwards, enjoy a scrumptious family-style dinner at the Blue Gate Restaurant. Another special night is in store as the National Quartet Convention brings us Gerald Wolfe’s Gospel Music Hymn Sing! Our favorite hymns and Gospel music classics will be brought to us by talented Gospel music artists, but since “it’s not a concert… it’s a worship experience,” we are the featured singers! What a remarkable night as we sing along to the rich hymns!

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4 – Shipshewana

After another delightful Blue Gate breakfast, we will depart for a half-day guided Amish Tour. In a region with the best food and homemade goods, this tour taps into decades of experience to bring us the best of the best! At every point we will experience Amish small business at its finest. Then homemade goodness will melt in our mouths as we’re guests for lunch at an Amish home! A unique and special dining experience for sure! This afternoon our Grand Gospel Jubilee continues with the National Quarter Convention’s talented Tribute Quartet, Inspirations Quartet, The Hoppers, and Gold City all bringing us fantastic Gospel music! It will be an afternoon filled with extraordinary talent and wonderful Gospel music and hymns! Our day ends with a delicious Blue Gate buffet dinner followed by the evening on your own to enjoy our hotel.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5 – Shipshewana to Fort Atkinson, WI

This American classic is the show that first introduced the immortal writing team of Rodgers and Hammerstein and ushered in the Golden Age of American Musical Theatre! This bright, brassy, boisterous musical comedy is filled with colorful costumes, breathtaking dancing, side-splitting humor, and a musical score featuring such hits as “People Will Say We’re In Love,” “Surrey With the Fringe On Top,” and the rousing title number “Oklahoma!” The Fireside presents a fresh, new, not to be missed telling of this time honored musical.
