There is a special sparkle that falls over The Grand Stand in December. It’s not snow- the coastal climate is much too warm for that. Instead it’s a brand of holiday spirit unique to Myrtle Beach. During the holiday season each of the special features of Myrtle Beach takes on a special cheer, and annual events give visitors an opportunity to experience a Coastal Christmas. We will take you there during the season to see Myrtle Beach at its finest. Each of the area’s professional shows combine it’s signature entertainment elements with special holiday themes that will get you in the spirit.

Day 1 – Home to Myrtle Beach

Our group will fly out of the Twin Cities on December 4th and arrive at our destination for the week at the lovely Landmark Resort a beautiful spot right on the oceanfront. Each of our rooms has its own oceanfront view. We will settle in, unpack and rest a spell before our dinner right at our resort, The Gazebo. After enjoying our evening meal, we will look around at this spacious and elegant resort. We will then retire to our rooms where sleep will come easy in our comfy surroundings.

Included Meals: Dinner

Hotel: Landmark Resort (6 nights)

Day 2 – Myrtle Beach

Rise and shine, and then enjoy a nice hot breakfast at The Gazebo. Our charter coach will pick us up and take us to the Market Common where we will enjoy the warm weather and shop if we like. We might like to pick up a snack to hold us over until our evening meal. This evening we will be treated to “Legends in Concert”. We will witness on stage some of the classic stars of the past like Elvis, Michael Jackson, and Frank Sinatra. We will also enjoy some of today’s stars like Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, and Katy Perry. The performers are among the greatest collections of tribute artists in the country. They provide a blend of signature songs that the tribute artists are known for, as well as some timeless Christmas music everyone loves. Dinner tonight will be at the Chesapeake House, a Myrtle Beach family seafood restaurant since 1971. It has been family owned and operated for 40 years. It is a waterfront fish shack with a wonderful in house tasty bakery.

Day 3 – Myrtle Beach

Breakfast will be enjoyed at your leisure at our in-house Gazebo Restaurant. We will then be driven to the Duplin Winery for a tour and some great tasting wine, cheese and crackers. It is the Grand Stands largest wine tasting station. The owners are serious about wine but relaxed about life. After “whining around” we will head over to the original Barefoot Princess Riverboat. Enjoy a buffet dinner cruise aboard the 64 ft. Riverboat vessel. The trip is narrated by experts who bring the area to life. Captain Santa Claus will pilot our boat. We will have plenty of Christmas spirit on board.

Included Meals: Breakfast, snack, and Dinner

Day 4 – Myrtle Beach

This morning we will leave for Ripley’s Aquarium. It has 1.4 million gallons of fresh and salt water inside one building. Amazing sea creatures swimming and creeping along just inches from you. Ripley’s has more than 15,000 marine life animals. During the holidays the aquarium hosts The Festival Of Trees. Fifty specialty decorated Christmas Trees are stationed around the aquarium and each tree is decorated to remind us of the fifty states. We will enjoy provided refreshments during the program “ Teas and Trees”. Now that we are full of Christmas spirit we will head over to the original Benjamins Calabash Seafood, a landmark of the Grand Stand. Diners go station to station beneath mounted Sharks at this all you can eat seafood operation. It just happens to be a World Famous spot so eat your heart out. Our entertainment tonight will take place at the beautiful Palace Theatre. It is one of the very favorite Holiday attractions in all of Myrtle Beach for all ages. It is located at The Broadway at the Beach Complex. We will enjoy Christmas Wonderland. The Christmas show includes the most popular Christmas songs, high kicking girls, and Santa and his elves. The show also features “the world’s largest floating ice pond”, which is lowered to the stage. Champion ice skaters will take to the pond and thrill us all with their skating abilities. We will all leave with our spirits lifted.

Day 5 – Myrtle Beach

After our included breakfast we will leave for the Carolina Opry. We will be treated to two hours of exciting music, comedy, and dance. The Christmas show is the highlight of the season. The CALVIN GILMORE THEATER is beautifully transformed into a winter wonderland for a show that is fun, sentimental, and visually stunning. Our group will then travel to Brookgreen Gardens where we will be treated to a stunning site at the annual “ Nights of a Thousand Candles”. We can stroll the grounds and enjoy a wonderland of twinkling beauty. There are thousands of lights and luminaries creating a glowing walk throughout the gardens. This is one of the most beloved attractions in the Grand Stand.

Once again enjoy breakfast at the Resort at your leisure and have fun just relaxing on your last day in Myrtle Beach. You will also have lunch on your own in the area. Our Dinner tonight will be at Thoroughbreds Refined Steakhouse with local seafood and steak in a clubhouse setting with a fireplace. It is one of the locals favorites. It’s a great chophouse and seafood grill for good times and great food. After our great meal, our next entertainment venue will be The Alabama Theater for the South’s Grandest Christmas Show. It’s a high energy production show offering all kinds of Christmas music from secular to Gospel. This musical production is sure to put you in a Christmas mood.
