The Inn at Christmas Place
One could not have imagined a hotel this full of Christmas in every inch of its being, snuggled into the foothills of the Smokies! You walk in the front door and you can’t believe it – Christmas music is wafting through the air as your eyes take in the decorated trees, lights, sleighs full of packages, wreaths, garlands, angels, Santas, and old-fashioned Christmas villages everywhere. Upon entering your room, you will find more Christmas. Trees, garlands, and centerpieces on every piece of furniture; a delight to your eyes if you love Christmas! In the lobby is a true one-of-a-kind Glockenspiel decorated and ringing on the hour, playing Christmas carols! If this doesn’t make you feel Christmas in every bone of your body, nothing will! Outside you’ll find decorated trees and lights to light up the Christmas sky. Christmas is truly in the air at The Inn at Christmas Place!
Day 1 – Home to Bloomington, IL
Christmas in Dollywood here we come! Today is a travel day with comfort stops along the way and on your own dinner options to choose from within walking distance of the hotel.

Day 2 – Bloomington to Nashville, TN
Breakfast is served at the hotel before we depart for Nashville and check into our hotel. We will enjoy dinner at the Santa Fe Grille with a private songwriter session where we will learn how song lyrics come to be!

Day 3 – Nashville to Pigeon Forge, TN
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll visit the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, the “Smithsonian of Country Music,” celebrated for its broad cultural impact, educational mission, and unrivaled collection of historically important artifacts. Afterwards we are in for a real sweet treat as we head to the Standard Candy Company, where in 1912 at Clark & First Avenue, America’s first combination candy bar was invented – the Goo Goo Candy Cluster! We will make our own jumbo size Goo Goo Cluster while attending a candy making class! There will also be dessert trios and tasting – definitely a sweet stop! After lunch on own in downtown Nashville, we will depart for Pigeon Forge. Dinner this evening is at the Applewood Farmhouse Grille. Then we check into the incredible Inn at Christmas Place for the next 3 nights, where we’ll experience a unique Christmas themed hotel right in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains! We’ll find picturesque Bavarian architecture, lushly landscaped gardens, and beautifully appointed accommodations awaiting us! Be sure to visit the South’s largest Christmas shopping village, The Christmas Place, located directly across the parkway from our hotel. “Celebrating the Spirit of Christmas Every Day of the Year,” we’ll experience Old World charm and elegance – and hospitality second to none! The evening is free to enjoy our beautiful hotel and all the treasures at The Christmas Place.

Day 4 – Pigeon Forge
Breakfast is served at our festive hotel before we depart for a guided tour of the beautiful Smoky Mountains! The Island, located at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, is the perfect place for lunch on your own. This 23-acre complex features 80 shops, restaurants, attractions, and is showcased by a 200-foot Observation Wheel and the Island Show Fountains, which are programmed to perform to light and music year-round. Then we’ll come together for a tour & tasting at The Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery at The Island. We will return to hotel to freshen up before we’re guests for the “Hatfield & McCoy Christmas Disaster Dinner Feud!” “There’s nothin’ like the holidays to bring family together… FOR A FEUD! See why we put the HOLLER in the HOLLERdays! Come join Pa Hatfield and Ma McCoy as they try to set aside their differences in the spirit of the Season. Watch as they bring their two famous feudin’ families together for a night of fun, food and entertainment guaranteed to make you feel better about spending the holidays with your in-laws! Whether you’re city-folk or country cuzins, you’ll love the holiday singing and dancing, mighty feats of strength, jaw dropping stunts and side-splitting comedy. There’s something here for everybody!” This great day isn’t over yet as we head to the Country Tonite Theatre for their spectacular Christmas Show! During the first act, we’ll get to experience a shortened version of their regular variety show, with singing, dancing, comedy skits, and more! The second act is a wonderland of holiday cheer as we enjoy listening to nostalgic Christmas classics that will bring us back to warm feelings of the holiday season. Keep an ear out for your favorite song to be sung in a new way during the show!

Day 5 – Pigeon Forge
The morning is free to enjoy breakfast at the hotel at your leisure, explore the hotel, and walk back across the street to The Christmas Place to find Christmas presents for your loved ones…or perhaps a special piece to add to your Christmas collection! After lunch on own, we’ll depart for Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Celebration. Enjoy exploring this 150 acre park that’s lit up with five million Christmas lights and a 50 ft animated tree! You can choose to take in a heartwarming Christmas Show or two, ride the authentic 110-ton coal-fired steam Dollywood Train for a five-mile journey through the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, and so much more! At Dollywood, it’s a time to remember what is truly important and seek out the light that brings us all closer together. It’s a time for family and the love we share. A voucher is included for dinner so you can choose where you would like to eat.

Day 6 – Pigeon Forge to French Lick, IN
After one last breakfast at the Inn, we continue our journey to the Hoosier National Forest where nestled among the hills resides a classic American destination – French Lick Resort. Home to two AAA Four-Diamond nationally historic hotels, three challenging golf courses, a Vegas-style casino & more! With excitement, we check into the West Baden Springs Hotel, our world famous home for the night! We’ll be awestruck by this magnificent property! Considered to be the 8th wonder of the world, it was built in 1902 and is on the National Register of Historic Landmarks. Its atrium was the largest free span dome until the Houston Astrodome was built. There is no word to absolutely describe it but: AWESOME! We are treated tonight to dinner and a Christmas Show at the Abbeydell Hall. Listen to Christmas classics beautifully expressed through song and dance!

Hotel: West Baden Springs Hotel
Day 7 – French Lick to Bloomington, IL
We will start our morning off with breakfast at Café Sinclair’s, located in the hotel’s original dining room. Then we are off on a guided history tour of French Lick & West Baden, giving us a deeper appreciation for the rich history that’s unique to these two historic towns. Then we travel to Illinois and check into the Holiday Inn & Suites. We are treated to one last Christmas Show tonight at The Barn III, which will be easy to spot with all its sparkling lights! Through “Christmas: Past, Present & Future” we’ll delve into the sights, sounds, and traditions of the Christmas season with their brand-new holiday revue of music, comedy, and audience participation. Revel in the celebrations of Christmas past, present, and future, which all lead to the same conclusion – that faith, love, family, and the spirit of giving are universal and timeless!

Day 8 – Bloomington, IL to Home
Breakfast is the served at the hotel, and then we depart for home. Our hearts of full of Christmas music, sights, and memories that we’ve shared with our new traveling friends! Merry Christmas!!
