Christmas is such an exciting season of the year! We invite you to join us on this dazzling Christmas Theatre trip that we have put together with you in mind. All the wonderful music, great acting, good laughs, shopping, Christmas lights, abundant food, and traveling with great people will make this trip an exciting beginning to your Christmas season. Your seat on our special Holiday Sleigh (motorcoach) is waiting for you, and we would love to have you join us! Donna and Perry Wieland – R&J Tour Hosts

Day 1 – Home to Pleasant Prairie, WI

We begin our Christmas journey today as we travel over the river and through the prairies of Wisconsin. We’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at the Norske Nook in Osseo, WI. The entrée is great, and the pie is out of this world! Then we continue on to Milwaukee and a stop at “The Dome.” Here at the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory we will enjoy the very special “Let it Snow” Christmas display. Further down the road we’ll check into our hotel for the evening before we travel to Apple Holler for dinner and their holiday performance of “The Purfekt Family’s Fourth Annual Holiday Letter—The Hogwash Lingers On.” We’ll enjoy some great songs, enjoy a laugh or three and maybe recognize ourselves or perhaps our friends and family through the eyes of the Purfekt Family.

Day 2 – Pleasant Prairie to Chicago

After a “warm you up” breakfast we will board the motorcoach for a drive into Chicago, adorned in all of its holiday splendor. Today we will make stops at the Museum of Science and Industry to enjoy their Christmas Tree display, where you will find trees decorated in traditions from around the world. We’ll make a stop at Navy Pier to enjoy their Christmas décor and then spend some time at Christkindlmarket, where you’ll experience the shops and food opportunities at this outdoor wonderland inspired by German tradition. We’ll check into our hotel before enjoying an evening meal together and then, a night at the theatre! Tonight it is the musical “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.” This delightful Dr. Suess Holiday Classic will warm your heart and give you a chuckle or two with familiar songs “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas.”

Day 3 – Chicago to St Charles, IL

This morning after breakfast we will spend some time in Chicago enjoying the sights and sounds of the holidays. A driving tour of Chicago will start our day before we head west to St. Charles. We’ll enjoy an included holiday lunch before the afternoon production of “The Winter Wonderettes.” This holiday musical is full of classic ‘60s hits including “Santa Baby,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “It’s a Marshmallow World” and more. After this great holiday show we will check into our hotel. This evening we travel to the historic Paramount Theatre for the production of “Annie.” We will let little orphan Annie warm our hearts this holiday season as her story unfolds before us and we are reminded that no matter what…“The Sun will come out tomorrow.” Fall asleep tonight feeling good with Christmas on your mind!!

Day 4 – St Charles to Home

We’ll have breakfast at the hotel before we begin our drive home. Our coach will be filled with the laughter and music of the holidays as we travel across Wisconsin, stopping at Burnstad’s European Restaurant for a delightful lunch and some time to check out the unique shops. Then we will board our motorcoach for the short ride over the river and back home, ready to enjoy the Holidays!
