A new twist to another Winter Getaway with a bit of good Gospel included. You will very much enjoy the destination we have picked – Orlando, Florida. Just when you need a break, we will make it easy to get away from the Minnesota cold & snow, and return warm, refreshed, and renewed!
Day 1 – Home to Orlando
We’ll board our afternoon flight to Orlando. Upon arriving, a Welcome Dinner at a fine Orlando restaurant will be served. While in Orlando, we will stay at the new Orlando Drury Plaza Hotel for four nights.

Day 2 – Orlando
We start our morning off with a worship service at the mega & fantastic First Baptist Church in Orlando. Their service is characterized by the Hymns we have come to appreciate as a part of our heritage and faith as well as by classic choruses accompanied by their dynamic Celebration Choir and Orchestra. Our included noon meal will be at Café Mineiro Brazilian Steakhouse. It will be an eating experience like non other, prepared and served by genuine Brazilians. You will love it! This evening we will be treated to a local Southern Gospel Concert.

Day 3 – Orlando
This morning we will head to the Wycliffe Headquarters Visitor Center for a grand tour of the behind-the-scenes story of Bible Translations from the people who do it best. We will then go to Cafe Wycliffe to enjoy our noon lunch together before we head across the street to The Jesus Film Project for a tour of their studio. Discover one of the best kept secrets in Orlando. This film is viewed in every nation, is in more than 1,200 languages and dialects. We will then head back to our hotel for snacks provided by the Drury, and a free evening to do as we wish.

Day 4 – Orlando
Today is a full day as we will spend the entire day at Orlando’s Inspirational Theme Park, The Holy Land Experience. When you pass through the City Gate, you will travel back in time to ancient Jerusalem that is 2,000 years old and 7,000 miles away. On your journey, you will discover a new world of information and understanding; and be inspired through biblical drama and presentations. We pray that you will enjoy your journey through The Holy Land Experience! On this day we will visit Bethlehem, Noah’s Ark, Jerusalem Street Market, Wilderness Tabernacle, Garden of Gethsemane, Judean Village, The Scriptorium, Chrystal Living Waters, as well as many other inspirational stops. Our included lunch will be prepared for us by Chick-fil-A and we will eat together in the Oasis Palms Café. This is a once in a lifetime experience, and you will leave inspired and renewed. Our final Grand Finale celebrates Christ’s agony, Death, Resurrection, and the Glorious Return of our Lord. You don’t want to miss this Miracle Moment. At the end of the day we will go back to our hotel and either eat at the Drury or on our own.

Day 5 – Orlando to Fort Myers
We will have breakfast at the hotel before traveling to Fort Meyers. Noon lunch will be on your own before we will head over to ECHO and be part of an amazing tour. ECHO stands for: Educational Concerns for Haiti Organization. Broken down it really means “a global Christian organization that equips people with agricultural resources and skill to reduce hunger and improve the lives of the poor.” This will be a very educational and interesting experience. After our tour we will head back to our hotel, the Homewood Suites at Bell Tower. This evening we will dine and enjoy theatre at Broadway Palms Dinner Theatre. Our entertainment will be Gershwin’s “Crazy for You.”

Day 6 – Fort Myers to Bradenton
This morning after our included breakfast, our travels will take us to Sarasota/Bradenton. We will visit the Ringling Estate & Museum. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the Museum, the Ringling Family Mansion, Ca’d’Zan, the amazing detailed circus model, the Rose Garden & Courtyard, and Joseph’s Coat Art Display. You will have lunch on your own in one of the relaxing & delightful dining choices. Tonight we will attend The Southern Gospel Winter Convention, where we will be blessed listening to many of our favorite gospel singers.

Day 7 – Bradenton
After our nice hot breakfast, we will take a tour of the Tampa Bay area. This tour will be optional. The afternoon is also optional, and it will entail a trip back to the Southern Gospel Convention. Otherwise, you may choose to stay at the hotel and relax. Our evening will allow us to return to enjoy more fantastic gospel music at the convention. We will return to the hotel for our last night on the Gospel Road.

Day 8 – Bradenton to Home
Enjoy our last breakfast together before we leave the hotel for the airport and our flight home to Minnesota, thinking of all the wonderful moments we had this past week.
