7:45 – Pickup at Byerly’s

10:00 – Arrive in Willmar
Visit the home office of R & J Tours. Meet our staff and enjoy coffee and rolls.

11:00 – Visit Buffalo Fish & Fine Arts
A gallery of original fine art by local and Minnesota artists, located in a peaceful setting next to North Creek on the north side of Willmar. Their new modern building is filled with light and beautiful fine arts consisting of paintings, pottery, blown glass sculpture, woodturning, handmade cards and woodcut block prints and photographic mosaics.

12:30 – Lunch at Persepolis
This new unique restaurant in the heart of downtown Willmar features Italian, Persian, Greek and American fine food with a flair for authentic atmosphere and great cuisine.

1:45 – Mikkelson Boat Collection & Museum
The world’s premier collection of Falls Flyer classic speed boats. Come see the finest series of the Jaguar of  boats. Only 200 Falls Flyer’s were manufactured by Minnesota’s Larson Boats Company from 1930-1960 and the very best are on display right here in Willmar. Classic outboard motors and over 500 toy boats and motors are also featured along with numerous other boating artifacts. All items are original, in pristine condition and many are the only ones in existence.

3:00 – J & L Bison Ranch
Home to 300 bison that roam over 200 beautiful rolling acres. We will board their bus and be able to get up close and personal with their bison. Located in the Solomon Lake area, this scenic area includes wildlife such as geese, ducks, deer, coyotes, fox etc. It lends itself to viewing a content and docile herd of majestic buffalo that are so deeply ingrained in our rich American history. You will learn the various tracts and why this animal is making a comeback from near extinction to provide a healthy food for a future strong America. Learn to be “heart smart” while on a Home on the Range experience. They have a gift shop you will have time to browse.

4:30 – Mini tour of Willmar
