Day 1 – Home to Davenport, IA 

Enjoy getting to know your traveling companions as we travel today to Davenport. We’ll freshen up after checking into our AAA Four- Diamond Marriott Autograph Collection boutique hotel, located in the heart of historic downtown Davenport. A welcome dinner is served at our lovely hotel, followed by great entertainment just for us by the Josh Duffy Band!

Day 2 – Davenport to Shipshewana, IN 

After breakfast, we depart for the quaint Amish country of Shipshewana, our home for the next three nights. After checking into our hotel, we’re guests at the Blue Gate for a delicious country ham dinner. Then sit back and enjoy a great evening of music from the Sound of Romance: The Lettermen and The Diamonds. A male trio, The Lettermen’s trademark is their close-harmony songs. We’ll enjoy hearing songs like “Goin’ Out of My Head,” “The Way You Look Tonight,” and “When I Fall in Love.” The amazing vocal quartet of The Diamonds will bring us classic romance songs like “Little Darlin’,” “The Stroll,” and “Why Do Fools Fall in Love.”

Day 3 – Shipshewana 

Following breakfast at the hotel, we’ll step back in time when we tour the RV Hall of Fame! View classic trailers, photos, and memorabilia dating back to the 1920’s & 1930’s. Then we head to DRV Luxury Suites, a name synonymous with ultimate luxury in full-time, four-season fifth wheel RVing, for an interesting factory tour where we’ll learn the unique construction features that are standard in all their products. Afterwards, a soup & sandwich lunch will be served at the Blue Gate Restaurant. Then we’re guests for “Stolen The Musical.” A small Pennsylvania community is shaken when the infant son of a prominent Amish family is kidnapped. As accusations fly and everyone comes under suspicion, a quirky, bumbling detective takes on the case. With no real leads and frustrations mounting, the case goes cold. Twenty years later…the town is thrown into turmoil again when Naomi decides to reopen the case and finally discover who kidnapped her little brother. This unique mystery full of intrigue and humor will captivate us from the opening curtain to the final bow. This afternoon we’ll visit an Amish farm to learn what an Amish wedding day is like, see an Amish bride’s wedding dress, hear the traditional German Wedding song sung, and partake in a delicious Amish wedding feast! What a special experience! Tonight the amazing Steve Wariner performs. A member of the Grand Ole’ Opry and Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, he captivates audiences with his sensational voice and guitar prowess and is recognized through his portfolio of work spanning Country, Bluegrass, Rock, Jazz and Pop.

Day 4 – Shipshewana 

Breakfast is served this morning before we depart on a fascinating, guided Amish Tour that will provide us with an inside look at their community as we make several stops along the way. Early Christmas shopping made easy with all the wonderful Amish goods! After another wonderful lunch at the Blue Gate, we will continue our guided tour of Shipshewana’s Amish country. We’ll then return to the hotel to freshen up. A fabulous buffet dinner precedes the Las Vegas-style tribute show “Salute to the Stars: Country Hall of Fame.” Featuring Reba McEntire, performed by the extremely talented and versatile Wendy T. Wendy who has performed from coast to coast and on the top Las Vegas impersonator show, Legends in Concert! Garth Brooks will be performed by Shawn Gerhard. The lead guitar player for Garth Brooks on his world tour from 2014- 2018 stated, “Shawn is truly the next best thing to the man himself, I’ve heard no one any closer!” And finally, as the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, is the man known worldwide as the TRUE Voice of Elvis, Doug Church. Doug’s voice has been acknowledged as being the closest to “The King’s” by not only his fans and peers but also by those who knew Elvis personally, and is regarded as an Icon in the industry! After the grand show, we’re treated to a tasty ice cream social!

Day 5 – Shipshewana to Ft. Atkinson, WI 

After another breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head to the Wellfield Botanic Gardens – a must see! Variety is found on every turn of the garden’s spacious 36 acres. Visit the Japanese Garden, pause & listen at the Waterfall Garden, and travel to another land in the English Garden! Then we will travel along as we make our way to Ft. Atkinson, WI and check into the Holiday Inn Express. Our evening begins with a scrumptious dinner at the Fireside followed by “Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” This telling of the biblical story of Joseph and his brothers is filled with great music, costumes, laughter, joy, and heart. Utilizing many different styles of music from pop/rock to country to musical comedy, this sparkling show follows young Joseph as he faces adversity and triumphs through his dreams and his strong, unwavering faith.

Day 6 – Fort Atkinson to Home 

After breakfast at the hotel, we make our way home with our new friends. We’ll enjoy recalling how our Autumn Escape journey brought Music to our Ears!
