Day 1 – Home to Delevan, WI

Off we go, traveling through the rolling hills of Wisconsin to Delavan, where we’ll check into the Lake Lawn Resort. Situated along two miles of Delavan Lake’s shoreline, Lake Lawn Resort first opened over 140 years ago! This beautiful resort and historic grounds are a picturesque backdrop of Delevan, and there’s no better way to see this than from the water! We will climb aboard the Lake Lawn Queen right at the resort for a wonderful tour of Delavan Lake and its shores, which boast five Frank Lloyd Wright homes and other historical landmarks. As we cruise, a tasty dinner will be served in the climate-controlled main level with its panoramic windows. Afterwards, be sure to visit the open-air top deck offering amazing lake views from every angle! Returning to shore, the rest of the evening is yours to enjoy our wonderful resort.

After getting settled into our rooms for the next three nights, a mouth-watering buffet awaits at the Blue Gate Restaurant – we promise you won’t leave hungry!

Hotel: Blue Gate Garden Inn (3 Nights)

Day 3 – Shipshewana

A delicious breakfast spread starts our day off great! Then an all-day guided Amish Tour awaits. In a region with the best food and homemade goods, this tour taps into decades of experience to bring us the best of the best! At every point we will experience Amish small business at its finest. Homemade goodness will melt in our mouths as we’re guests for lunch at an Amish home! Later this afternoon we’ll take in “Ned & Nancy See America – The Musical.” To celebrate his retirement and 40th wedding anniversary, Ned Richards surprises his wife Nancy with a cross-country road trip in his shiny brand-spankin’ new RV! As good as his intentions are, this “vacation of a lifetime” quickly turns into one hilarious disaster after another. Ned and Nancy end up seeing way more of America than any postcards could ever begin to describe. Through it all new memories are made, old ones relived, and vacation frustrations melt away in the beauty that is America. Add to that a poignant moment at a military memorial, stunning Americana Travelog scenery, some cruising “Golden Oldies” on the radio, and a surprise ending – this is a show that’ll have us singing along and laughing our bobby socks off! Afterwards, a scrumptious family-style dinner at the Blue Gate Restaurant.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4 – Shipshewana

After another delightful Blue Gate breakfast, enjoy a free morning of shopping at Shipshewana’s quaint stores. Be sure to see the hand carved carousel on the top level of the Davis Mercantile! After lunch on our own, the Blue Gate Theater is proud to bring us the Las Vegas-style tribute show “Salute to the Stars,” featuring tributes to Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, & Elvis! All the stars use their own talented voices to bring us the music, memories, and magic of these great musical stars of yesterday! After the show we will depart for Middlebury and visit Joyfully Said. We’ll be treated to a short tour including the history of this oldest standing building in Middlebury! Although the Mill is not a working mill anymore, Pioneer does rent their grain bins a few months out of the year during harvest season to store their corn. We’ll see some original pieces still hanging today. The Mill has been turned into some quaint shops, so we will enjoy some shopping time too. Returning to Shipshewana, we’ll head to the Performance Art Center where dinner is served and a fantastic Gospel show by the Gaither Vocal Band awaits! With their powerhouse vocals, innovative harmonies, and life-altering message of grace, hope, and redemption, the Gaither Vocal Band is incomparable!

Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 5 – Shipshewana to Janesville, WI

Rise & shine for one last Blue Gate breakfast before we travel to Janesville, WI, with lunch on your own along the way. This afternoon, be sure to have your walking shoes on as we will visit the lovely and award-winning, 20-acre Rotary Botanical Gardens in Janesville. An experienced guide will lead us through the Gardens, detailing the history, plant material and notable points of interest. The Gardens is home to 4,000 varieties of plants and 26 dramatic and internationally themed gardens, including Japanese, Scottish, French Formal, Italian and English Cottage Gardens! An early dinner will be at Cracker Barrel before we check into the Hampton Inn.

Included Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Hotel: Hampton Inn

Day 6 – Janesville to Home

After breakfast we will travel to Warrens for a visit to the Wetherby Cranberry Farm. Did you know that Wisconsin’s #1 fruit crop is the cranberry, producing over 60% of the world’s supply of cranberries? Touring their farm will be an educational experience that we will long remember. This is their growing season, so we will witness the cranberries just starting to blossom. We’ll learn the hard work ethic needed to grow this native fruit and come to realize the quality of life that exists on a cranberry marsh. Next stop is the Discover Cranberry Company, housed in a 1900 building that was used for many years as a cranberry warehouse. We’ll explore their museum that showcases Wisconsin’s cranberry growing heritage, browse their wonderful gift shop where we can find all things cranberries, and enjoy lunch in their Cranberry Country Café, complete with cranberry ice cream for dessert! We will have a “berry” good time! Departing, we travel the last few hours to home, filled with wonderful memories of Celebrating America’s Goodness!
