Day 1 – Home to Omaha, NE

This morning come aboard our luxury mortorcoach as we take you back in time for Christmas Around the World in Omaha! We will enjoy coffee breaks and lunch along the way before we reach our magnificent boutique hotel for a three nights stay. Tonight, step back into holiday splendor of merry olde England with true English pageantry. You will be entertained with authentic mirth and song and have a feast fit for royalty! This unique “dinner theatre” sends you back to the Renaissance years for a festive holiday evening at an old English castle. What a way to start your Christmas season off!!

Day 2 – Omaha

This morning breakfast is served at the hotel before we head to Boys Town to celebrate an Irish Christmas at Father Flanagan’s House where the home is decorated in Irish holiday traditions. Tour Boys Town Hall of History and Father Flanagan’s house. We depart Boys Town with our next stop at a Polish community where you will be treated to an authentic Polish meal along with a special dance presentation celebrating the culture of Poles. We then spend time at The Durham Museum where Ethnic communities have decorated small holiday trees to represent their own unique heritage. This building is the former Union Station where you can look over the many rail cars. Next we view hundreds of poinsettias on display at the Lauritzen Gardens. Enjoy the poinsettias or do a little shopping in their large gift shop. The day is not complete until we have celebrated a German Christmas! Enjoy dancing, singing and food! The men’s choir will entertain you with traditional German holiday favorites. Shop for crafts imported from Germany at the Christmas Market. The evening ends with a sing-a-long of “Silent Night.” This is a day you will long remember!

Day 3 – Omaha

After an enjoyable breakfast we board the motorcoach for a guided driving tour of Omaha’s past, present and future. Highlights include the Historic Old Market Entertainment District, Lewis & Clark Landing, Historic Gold Coast District, Billionaire Warren Buffet’s home, Joslyn Castle and much more. This afternoon we visit St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church for lunch and a tour of this Byzantine style church. We will learn how Christmas is celebrated in Greece when we join members of the congregation for lunch and a holiday program. Next we will give you time to do a little Christmas shopping in the Old Market District before we head to the Gingerbread Village Display at the Mormon Trail Center. View over 100 gingerbread houses of all shapes and sizes, some with entire street scenes lit up for your enjoyment. Tonight we have dinner at the hotel before heading to the Omaha Community Playhouse to see the traditional “Christmas Carol,” a professional production of Dickens’ classic tale with fabulous sets, gorgeous costumes and music! What a way to spend our last evening in festive Omaha!!

Day 4 – Omaha to Home

Before our wonderful Christmas in Omaha tour ends, we have one more treat! We’ll make a sweet treat stop at the Lithuanian Bakery before we board the motorcoach and head for home. With Christmas music softly playing and memories from your Christmas in Omaha tour, you have lots to talk about with your new found tour friends!
