Day 1 – Home to LaCrosse
Join R&J Tours for three memorable days Down a Country Road! Our first stop is the Historic Hormel House in Austin for a tour and treat. Next we will tour the Spam Museum and enjoy an included lunch at The Old Mill Restaurant, a flour mill built in the late 1850’s that became a restaurant in 1949. We’ll then make our way to LaCrosse, WI and get settled in at the Stoney Creek Inn before a delightful dinner at the Freighthouse Restaurant, originally constructed in 1880 as the Milwaukee Road Freight House.

Day 2 – Down Country Roads
After an included breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take a drive along the Mississippi River and on scenic backroads that take us to our “Down A Country Road” Amish experience and tour of Wisconsin’s largest Old Order Amish Community. You’ll get to know the Amish up close and personal after visiting all their shops, like the Amish bakery shop and quilt shop. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase Amish goods, like jams, cheese, woodworks, blankets, placemats, doilies, and so many more hand-crafted specialities. Next we will take backroads to Burnstad’s European Village in Tomah for an included lunch. Time will be given to browse the village shops. Return to LaCrosse via backroads that pass by beautiful Wisconsin countryside. Dinner is planned at Historic Peggy’s Restaurant.

Day 3 – LaCrosse to Home
Enjoy a hot breakfast at the hotel before departing for Winona where we will tour the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. Lunch is planned at Signatures in Winona. Leave for Wabasha and visit the National Eagle Center for a show featuring one of their live, rescued eagles. Arrive home enriched from your Down a Country Road experience!
