Day 1 – Overnight Flight to France
Sit back and relax as we embark on a remarkable journey on La France! An R&J Tour Director is there to assist you throughout the tour.
Day 2 – Arrive Paris
Arrive in France at a Paris airport. On our way to our hotel in Caen, we make a stop in Rouen to marvel at the Cathédrale Notre-Dame. We continue on the Caen and settle into our hotel and unwind with a delightful dinner to kick off our adventure.

Day 3 – Caen
Today’s dedicated to exploring the poignant D-Day beaches. A knowledgeable local guide will lead us through these historic sites, followed by a leisurely lunch on own in St. Eglise. In the afternoon, we will visit the Normandy American Cemetery with a guided tour, offering a moment of reflection and remembrance. Next, discover the renowned Bayeux Tapestry Museum before enjoying an evening at leisure in Bayeux. Located on the Aure River, Bayeux’s medieval center contains cobblestone streets and half-timbered houses. Then we return to Caen for a good night’s rest.

Day 4 – Caen
First we immerse ourselves in history with a guided tour at the Mémorial de Caen. Our tour focuses on World War II, from the onslaught of Nazism to the Normandy landings, via the Holocaust. We’re also treated to entry into their 2025 special exhibit. Later, experience the flavours of the region with a tour and tasting at Calvados Père Magloire l’Experience. We’ll be immersed in the atmosphere of their ancient cellars, where we’ll learn how carefully selected cider apples are transformed through meticulous distillation to create exceptional Calvados. After a full day of exploration, return to our hotel for a relaxing evening and dinner.

Day 5 – Caen to Lille
Travel to Lille with a pleasant stop in Amiens for lunch and some free time to explore this charming city. Upon arrival in Lille, we check into our hotel and embark on a short walking tour with a local guide, providing an excellent introduction to the city’s highlights.

Day 6 – Lille
Today we will visit the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille, one of the largest art museums in France. Afterwards we’ll enjoy a two-course lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will tour the birthplace of Charles de Gaulle, best known for leading the Free French Forces against Nazi Germany in World War II. The evening is yours to explore Lille’s vibrant culinary scene with dinner at your leisure.

Day 7 – Lille to Paris
As we journey to Paris today, we’ll make a scenic stop in Giverny. Here, a local guide will lead us through Monet’s Garden, allowing us to walk in the footsteps of the great artist. After a two-course lunch, we continue to Paris and check into our hotel, where we will spend the next three nights.

Day 8 – Paris
A full day of guided exploration in Paris awaits. Highlights include a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, a former royal residence commissioned by King Louis XIV. We will explore the palace, which construction first started in 1631, and its beautiful gardens. Enjoy lunch at your leisure and soak in the rich history and grandeur of this iconic site.

Day 9 – Paris
Spend a day at your own pace, discovering the many wonders of Paris. In the evening, we’ll gather for an exquisite three-course dinner at Madame Brasserie, located in the Eiffel Tower. This dining experience includes stunning views and a memorable culinary journey, complete with an arrival drink, superior wine, and coffee.

Day 10 – Paris to Home
Bid farewell to Paris as we head to Charles De Gaulle airport. Reflect on the unforgettable experiences and memories made during this extraordinary 10-day adventure through La France!
