2nd DAY
Escanaba to Mackinac Island
Travel the north side of Lake Michigan to St. Ignace, a beautiful drive. Cross the famous Mackinac Bridge to Mackinaw City, where we ferry across Lake Huron to Mackinac Island. Once we arrive, our transportation is limited to horse, carriage, bike, or foot! A horse and buggy will be waiting to take us to the downtown for some free time to eat and do some shopping. This afternoon we will tour the sights of the island by horse drawn carriage. Later check into the world famous Grand Hotel for the evening. Late afternoon and evening is free to enjoy sightseeing on this quaint and lovely island. Dinner this evening is served at the fabulous Grand Hotel. Tonight take a stroll along the porch of the Grand Hotel overlooking the water’s edge.

3rd DAY
Mackinac Island to Frankenmuth
This morning breakfast is served at the hotel. Enjoy a leisurely morning here on the island. This afternoon we travel to Frankenmuth, Michigan, for a two night stay at the Bavarian Drury Inn & Suites close to the many charming shops and restaurants. There will be time to browse the shops and choose dinner from one of the many restaurants. Enjoy River Place with over 30 shops and attractions and a nightly laser light show.

4th DAY
Frankenmuth
Breakfast is served at the Inn this morning before embarking on a city tour of Frankenmuth with sights such as the beautiful St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Learn its great history, essentially the history of Frankenmuth itself. Visit famous Bronner’s Christmas Store before a leisurely afternoon of browsing the shops and streets of this quaint little Bavarian village. A lunch will be included today at the famous Bavarian Inn Restaurant. Tonight tour Bronner’s beautiful display of Christmas lights. See the replica of the Austrian Silent Night Memorial Chapel, built as a tribute to God and the world’s favorite Christmas hymn. The original chapel in Oberndorf Austria was built on the site of St. Nicholas’ Church, where “Silent Night” was first sung on Christmas Eve in 1818.

5th DAY
Frankenmuth to Chicago
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we travel to Napanee, Indiana, for a leisurely lunch and shopping in this quaint Amish Village.

We continue through Wisconsin to Minnesota with a lunch and coffee break along the way.
