Day 1 –  Home to San Francisco
Fly to San Francisco, one of the most exciting and beautiful cities in America!  Sail around San Francisco Bay by boat, enjoying views of Alcatraz Island and the spectacular Golden Gate Bridge. Enjoy some free time to explore the famous wharf on your own this afternoon. This evening dine at Bistro Boudin set near the waterfront.

Day 2 – San Francisco to Napa
Head over the Golden Gate Bridge to Napa Valley and a day exploring some of the world’s finest vineyards. Ride the vintage Wine Train for a Napa Valley tour, which includes the delight of dining in a  restored 1917 Pullman Dining Car while traveling through the rolling vineyards to quaint St. Helena.  This evening your home is in beautiful Napa at the Embassy Suites. Take time to explore the charming shops of Napa.

Day 3 – NapA to Lake Tahoe
Wind through lovely scenery to one of our nation’s most beautiful lakes, Lake Tahoe.  Scenery is great as this natural beauty boast the deepest and largest alpine lake in North America.  Later enjoy the view from the water as we cruise this jewel of a lake while enjoying dinner on board.  This evening your home is nestled among gracious scenery of the Lake Tahoe area.

Day 4 – Lake Tahoe to Sonora
Enjoy the passing scenery as we travel through the Sierra Nevada foothills.  Enjoy some interesting stops as we explore Gold Rush Country where the 49’ers came in search of their fortune.   Stops in historic Gold Rush towns introduces you to miners and merchants of the era, who rode the stagecoaches, panned for gold and conducted their business as it once was done in bygone days.  Arrive in the Gold Rush town of Sonora, our home for the next two nights.

Day 5 -Yosemite National Park
Today we will explore one of America’s national treasure, Yosemite National Park.  Experience the unequaled beauty of Yosemite, one of the first wilderness parks in the United States.  Known for its Awe-inspiring waterfalls, you can find deep valleys, towering granite domes, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.  This UNESCO World Heritage Site is yours to explore by tram with a national park ranger interpreting the beauty and history of this park. Tonight we stay just outside the park at Mariposa.

Day 6 –  Yosemite NP to Monterey
Today we cross the farmland of the Salinas Valley known as the “Salad Bowl” of America.  Continue to lovely Monterey, a spectacular coastal community in central California with a temperate climate  year-round.  Experience its natural beauty, cultural resources and rich historic past. Scenery is great as the ocean canyon surrounding Monterey Bay is deeper than the Grand Canyon and homes a rich variety of sea life. Enjoy a relaxing two night stay here near Fisherman’s wharf.

Day 7 – Monterey
This morning experience the underwater world at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, home to 200 award-winning galleries and exhibits. Motor along the rugged coastline of the Monterey Peninsula.  Journey along the
spectacular 17-Mile Drive to Carmel. Enjoy views of Cypress Proint, famous Pebble Beach Golf Course, and famous Lone Cypress.  After lunch on your own in Cannery Row, enjoy some free time in Carmel.  This delightful seaside village is a retreat for writers, artists, and celebrities.  Return to Monterey for our last evening together.  This evening you are invited to a farewell dinner celebration on Old Fisherman’s Wharf .  A perfect way to end a fabulous trip to
California!

Day 8 – Monterey to Home
Today we’ll enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we make our way to the airport to catch our flight for home.
