Day 1 – Home to Los Angeles / San Pedro, CA
Our grand Pacific Elegance journey begins today as we fly into LAX in California. We’ll check into the upscale Crowne Plaza in Los Angeles’ coastal neighborhood of San Pedro and enjoy a wonderful Welcome Dinner as we get to know one another.

Day 2 – Ship Embarkation
We’ll start our day with breakfast at the hotel before we visit the nearby USS Iowa, the last Navy ship to be donated as a museum. We’ll follow in the footsteps of sailors and their mischievous mascot, Vicky the Dog, to experience first-hand why she is known as the “Battleship of Presidents,” “The Grey Ghost,” and “The Big Stick.” Battleship USS IOWA served our country proudly in WWII, Korea, and the Cold War. Then it is time to board Princess Cruise Lines’ Grand Princess for a scenic 4-night cruise. With an atmosphere of comfortable elegance, tantalizing dining options and dazzling entertainment, our stay on board Grand Princess will be anything but ordinary as we sail towards Vancouver, BC. We will be at sea for 5 days and 4 nights with our port of call being Victoria, BC. Settling into our wonderful balcony staterooms, we’re ready to embrace cruise life!

Day 3 – At Sea
Rise and shine at your leisure to the beautiful Pacific Ocean as your backdrop! Today is a full day at sea to take in God’s creation around you as well as the Grand Princess’ many options for mouth-watering fare and great entertainment! Perhaps you’ll wish to take in a cooking demonstration, dance classes, or one of the trivia contests. Or try your hand at Princess Links, a putting course, or a game of tennis. Don’t forget about the variety of live entertainment like one of their original Broadway-style productions that dazzle with fantastic stage sets, costumes and musical scores. Or perhaps you’d like to try and figure out a grand magician’s tricks!

Day 4 – At Sea
It’s another wonderful day at sea to take in the fantastic views and our great ship! With so many delightful restaurants to choose from today, the biggest question will be: do you try new options or the same delicious ones from yesterday?! What’s on your agenda today? Maybe you’ll choose to take a dip in the sparkling freshwater pools, unwind in one of the soothing hot tubs, or relax on a padded lounger. You may choose to travel the world through the sounds of international live musicians or take in another incredible show. Feel like shopping or a spa treatment, the Grand Princess has you covered! Don’t forget about catching a Movies Under the Stars, their giant 300-square foot poolside movie theater.

Day 5 – Port of Call: Victoria, BC
Today the Grand Princess stops in lovely Victoria, BC at noon. You may choose to continue enjoying the onboard amenities or opt for a shore excursion on your own. Victoria is a beautiful city to explore! Taking an excursion to the grand Butchart Gardens is well worth it! (Note: additional shore excursion options will be available later.)

Day 6 – Ship Disembarkation in Vancouver, BC
Upon reaching Vancouver, BC this morning, we will disembark our cruise ship and board a motorcoach for the remainder of the tour. First, we will visit the popular and beautiful 1,000-acre Stanley Park. It’s one of the largest green spaces in North America and, in fact, is significantly larger than New York’s Central Park. We’re treated to an old-fashioned horse-drawn tour as we meander in comfort through the natural beauty of Stanley Park. A professional guide fully narrates the tour which highlights Deadman’s Island, Vancouver’s Harbour, Lions Gate Bridge, and a Coastal Red Cedar Forest. Also included are stops at the Totem Poles, the Girl in a Wet Suit Statue, the S.S. Empress of Japan Figurehead, and the Rose Garden. Following our horse-drawn tour, we will have a tasty lunch at the Stanley Park Pavilion, this award-winning heritage venue is known as “The Jewel of Stanley Park.” Afterwards, we will head to the luxurious Georgian Court Hotel, blending timeless style and service with modern elegance, where we will be staying for the next three nights. Located steps from the highlights of the city, the Georgian Court Hotel is one of the finest boutique hotels in Vancouver. We’ll easily settle in, rest, and enjoy dinner and the evening on our own.

Day 7 – Vancouver
We will start off our day after breakfast with a morning, guided city tour of Vancouver with a local step-on guide. Next, we will be going to Granville Island where we’ll enjoy free time for lunch on own and exploring the island, which is actually a peninsula. Feel like pizza, seafood, donuts, macarons…? Granville Island has many wonderful food options. Boasting many shops and galleries, Grandville Island won’t disappoint. Be sure to make your way to the Public Market. Tonight we’ll enjoy a special event together!

Day 8 – Vancouver
This morning after breakfast, we will head just south of Vancouver to Steveston for a whale watching cruise! Traveling through the spectacular Gulf Islands and the Strait of Georgia, we’ll discover magnificent and breathtaking marine wildlife in their natural habitat aboard our privately chartered boat. The professional wildlife guides onboard are well educated on marine mammals, local flora and fauna, waterways and surrounding islands. A bag lunch will be provided during our cruise. Back on land, we’ll have time for a leisurely stroll through the picturesque village of Steveston on our own. This quaint, working fishing village at the mouth of the Fraser River was declared a heritage zone in 1960, which accounts for its warm, old-timey vibe. Explore Fisherman’s Wharf, coffee shops and much more. We will conclude the day with a farewell seafood dinner as we take in the beautiful sunset overlooking the wharf at an amazing, hidden waterside eatery!

Day 9 – Vancouver to Home

- The bathtub on the battleship USS IOWA (BB 61). This is the only bathtub on a United States Navy warship. It was installed as a convenience for President Franklin D. Roosevelt when he crossed the Atlantic Ocean to meet with British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Soviet Secretary General Joseph Stalin at Casablanca, Morocco.
