Day 1 – Home to Palm Springs
Today we fly out to California for our Palm Springs getaway. We will check into the beautiful Palm Mountain Resort located in the heart of Palm Springs for 7 nights. Our hotel is perfectly located near famous Palm Canyon Drive, which offers an abundance of unique restaurants, wonderful shops, and boutiques. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner at Kaiser Grill.

Day 2 – Palm Springs
Awake in paradise this morning! First we will make a fun visit to the College of the Desert Street Fair, which offers more than 300 merchants, artists, a farmers market, live entertainment, gourmet food and much more! Then enjoy brunch at Trio. This afternoon is yours to enjoy! You may want to lounge around the sparkling pool or pursue your own interests.

Day 3 – Palm Springs
This morning we visit the Shields Date Gardens for an interesting tour and we will be treated to a tasty Date Shake! We then enter into an “old west experience” as we travel through the Coachella Valley Desert in a mule-drawn covered wagon. We’ll learn about desert plants and wildlife. Enjoy an included barbecue lunch with western entertainment. Next we’ll make a stop at the Palm Springs Air Museum and learn about the role air power played in preserving American liberties and way of life. The Museum preserves, exhibits, and flies aircraft from World War II, Korea, and the Vietnam Wars.

Day 4 – Palm Springs
This afternoon take an included trip to the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens where we will take a Safari Tour! Giraffes, mountain lions, zebras, and cheetahs are just a few of the incredible animals that take us from Africa to North America. This evening we ride the Palm Springs Aerial Tram and ascend atop the 8,500 ft peak of Mount San Jacinto, providing amazing panoramic views of Palm Springs and the pristine wilderness is amazing! Once back at the resort, we’ll gather again for a fantastic dinner together.

Day 5 – Palm Springs
Today is yours to enjoy at leisure! Some may want to do some shopping or take in all Palm Springs has to offer. Or maybe you want to just sit poolside for a relaxing day!

Day 6 – Palm Springs
After breakfast we will go up the mountain to the lovely village of Idyllwild, nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains. Set among tall pines, sweet smelling cedars, and legendary rocks, the town has kept its “small town” atmosphere. Browse the locally owned shops and restaurants. This evening you can enjoy the traditional Village Fest! Discover an old-time street fair that transforms downtown Palm Springs into a charming international bazaar with over 180 vendors featuring a farmers market, fine art, ceramics, woodworking, entertainment, and antiques.

Day 7 – Palm Springs
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure before a local step-on guide joins us today to show us around Palm Springs, including the neighborhoods of the rich and famous. After an included lunch, we explore Joshua Tree National Park at a relaxed pace. Here you will enjoy sweeping views of rugged mountains, granite monoliths, twisted rock, and lovely desert flowers accenting this beautiful national park. The evening is yours to enjoy your last night in Palm Springs!

Day 8 – Palm Springs to Home
After a leisurely breakfast we board our flight home with our travel mates and reminisce about our fabulous time in Palm Springs!
