Rockettes Christmas

Day 1 – Home to Des Moines
We board our motorcoach this morning in anticipation of a festive Christmas getaway! We’ll have coffee breaks and lunch along the way, arriving at the premier Embassy Suites, located on the river in downtown Des Moines, in late afternoon. We’ll enjoy the manager’s reception at the hotel, and have an opportunity to eat dinner before we leave for the Christmas Spectacular starring the world famous Rockettes. It is a magical production, which ends with the awe-inspiring “Living Nativity.”

Day 2 – Des Moines
A full cooked-to-order breakfast awaits us this morning as we prepare for a full day of holiday festivities, shopping, and touring. We’ll enjoy an included dinner before the performance of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” a favorite holiday tradition with humor along with Christmas meaning. We’ll also experience a wonderful display of Christmas lights.

Day 3 – Des Moines to Home
Breakfast is served before we head to the Botanical Gardens with their beautiful Christmas displays. Enjoy an included lunch before we continue on our way for home.

‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’ is a book written by Barbara Robinson in 1972. It focuses on the poorly-behaved children of the Herdman family, who discover the true meaning of Christmas through participation in a church play about the birth of Jesus.
