Day 1 – Overnight Flight to Spain
Sit back and relax as we embark on this trip of a lifetime! An R&J Tour Director is there to assist you throughout the tour.
Day 2 – Arrive in Barcelona
Welcome to Barcelona! Upon arrival we will be met at the airport by a local guide and private coach. We will check into the Oriente Atiram Hotel, a comfortable hotel in the heart of the city. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, where we’ll get a taste of traditional Catalan cuisine.

Day 3 – Barcelona
We’ll start our day with breakfast before meeting our local guide and heading out for a full day of exploration. First, visit the Basílica de la Sagrada Família, Gaudí’s masterpiece, where a guided tour will introduce us to its breathtaking architecture. Next, continue to Park Güell, a whimsical wonderland of colorful mosaics and playful structures. After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive along Passeig de Gràcia, passing architectural icons like Casa Milà and Casa Batlló. End the day with a gentle guided walking tour through the Gothic Quarter, full of medieval charm with its labyrinthine streets & old buildings. Dinner is at your leisure tonight.

Day 4 – Barcelona
Today, we’ll venture outside Barcelona on a scenic drive to the breathtaking Montserrat Mountain. Boarding the Montserrat Funicular, an aerial cable car, provides spectacular views of Montserrat. Reaching the top, we’ll visit the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey, home to the revered Black Madonna statue. After returning to Barcelona, we’ll enjoy an early dinner, followed by the Casa Batlló Night Experience, an immersive visit that brings Gaudí’s work to life with innovative audiovisual effects.

Day 5 – Barcelona to Seville
After breakfast we make our way to Seville, and what better way than by high-speed train! This scenic ride with views of rolling hills, picturesque bridges, and riversides towns, offers us much more time to enjoy Seville by arriving this afternoon. A local guide will give us a panoramic tour of beautiful and historic Seville. Then we’ll check into the NH Plaza de Armas Hotel for a two-night stay. This evening, we’ll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, savouring the flavours of Andalusian cuisine.

Day 6 – Seville
We’ll continue our exploration of Seville today with a local guide. We’ll start with a visit to the Real Alcázar, a magnificent palace blending Moorish and Christian architecture. After a leisurely afternoon, prepare for an unforgettable tapas dinner and Flamenco show, experiencing the passion and energy of Spain’s most iconic dance form.

Day 7 – Seville to Madrid
After breakfast, a high-speed train whisks us to Madrid. Upon arrival, we will have a guided tour of the impressive Royal Palace, home to Spain’s monarchs. A short walking tour through the iconic Plaza Mayor and famous Puerta del Sol follows before checking into Novotel Madrid for three nights. Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant tonight.

Day 8 – Madrid
We will spend the day discovering Madrid with a local guide. The highlight of the morning is a visit to the Prado Museum, home to masterpieces by Velázquez, Goya, and El Greco. In the afternoon, opt for a visit to the Reina Sofía Museum to see Picasso’s Guernica (at an additional cost), or enjoy a relaxed walk in Retiro Park. The park belonged to the Spanish monarchy until 1868 and has recently been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Another delightful dinner concludes the day.

Day 9 – Madrid
This morning we will take a drive to Segovia, where we’ll admire the Roman Aqueduct and visit the stunning Segovia Cathedral. After lunch, continue to the Ribera del Duero wine region for a winery visit and tasting at Bodegas Valduero, sampling fine Spanish wines with traditional appetizers. Return to Madrid in the evening.

Day 10 – Madrid to United States
After breakfast, we’ll check out of our hotel and head to the airport for our departure flight. As we fly home, take time to reminisce about our journey through splendid Spain!
