Day 1 – Home to San Antonio
The magic of Christmas comes alive on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas! Be dazzled by approximately 122,000 Christmas lights that form a brilliant canopy over the Riverwalk! After our flight, we’ll head for the San Jose Mission, founded in 1720, where you will have the option of attending one of the Mission’s services. Next we’ll check into the Drury Inn Riverwalk for a relaxing four night stay right in the heart of the festivities. As we get to know our fellow travelers, we will enjoy a delicious dinner at the Texas Land & Cattle Steakhouse this evening.

Day 2 – Riverwalk
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll depart on an guided city tour. Next we’ll spend time shopping at the El Mercado, a large, authentic Mexican Market featuring a vast range of goods, food, and entertainment. Lunch is on your own to choose from one of the market’s restaurants. Returning to the Riverwalk, you’ll enjoy a free afternoon browsing the Christmas Arts and Crafts Show. Then it will be your turn to take in the splendid views from the river as you enjoy an evening river cruise.

Day 3 – Fredericksburg
Breakfast is served at the hotel before we board the motorcoach for a narrated, driving tour of the LBJ Ranch. You’ll have the opportunity to tour the Texas White House. Then we’ll motor to Fredericksburg for shopping and lunch on our own, followed by an included tour of the National Museum of the Pacific War. The history of the Pacific War will come alive as we walk through the life of Chester Nimitz, a highly respected leader of the Pacific campaign of WWII. A special dinner is planned in The Terrace Grill at the Riven Rock Ranch, which is rich with history, beauty, and tranquility. Return to the hotel enriched!

Day 4 – Riverwalk
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning. Our journey to San Antonio would not be complete without visiting the Mission San Antonio de Valero, also known as The Alamo. Explore this famous fort, originally constructed in 1724, and learn more about its rich history as your watch the remarkable IMAX movie, Alamo – The Price of Freedom. The afternoon and evening is at your leisure to enjoy the Christmas festivities at the Riverwalk. Be sure to cross over the river on one of the many footbridges to discover the best vantage point of the Christmas lights. It’s also a perfect opportunity to find Christmas presents for your loved ones in the great Riverwalk shops.
