Jasper National Park, Columbia Icefield, Lake Maligne, Banff National Park, Lake Louise 

Day 1 – Home to Dickenson, ND

Our luxurious motorcoach motors us to some of the world’s most beautiful country. Stay in Dickenson, North Dakota tonight.

Hotel: Hampton Inn & Suites 

Day 2 – Dickenson to Havre, MT

After breakfast we will make our way across the prairies of North Dakota and Montana. We will arrive in Havre for a stay at the lovely Great Northern Inn.

Day 3 – Havre to Calgary, Alberta

Proof of citizenship is needed today as we cross the border into Canada. We’ll stop for lunch in Brooks and make our way to Calgary, where this afternoon we’ll be treated to a city tour. The main highlight of this tour will be the Canada Olympic Park, the premiere site of the XV Olympic Winter Games. This Park is distinct from most Olympic venues in that it continues to function as a multi-purpose competition, training and recreation area designed for year-round use by both high performance athletes and the general public. Our city tour will also include a drive by the famous Calgary Stampede. Tonight we are treated to a towering dinner at the Calgary Tower, home to the highest 360º observation deck in the world!

Day 4 – Calgary to Banff, Alberta

Enjoy breakfast before we depart for Banff, just a short distance away. First we visit the Banff Fairmont Hotel, providing great pictures of the Banff area. Then lunch is included in downtown Banff before we embark on a peaceful float raft ride on the Bow River as it winds along the Bow River Valley to Banff National Park, towering mountain peaks and the Bow Falls surround us. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Tonight we stay at The Rundlestone Lodge, which sets the scene for a perfect getaway in the Canadian Rockies! Dinner will be served at Bumpers Beef House here at the hotel.

Day 5 – Banff to Jasper, Alberta

Journey into the Canadian Rockies, considered one of the most scenic mountain ranges in the world. View lovely Lake Moraine tucked among mountain peaks. Motor along the Icefields Parkway, a spectacular stretch of highway offering views of majestic mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, and snow fields. Watch for bear, mountain goats, elk, and bighorn sheep. A narrated Snocoach ride on the surface of the mighty Columbia Icefields and Athabasca Glacier is in store. See Snow Dome and Mount Athabasca peaks. Settle into the Chateau Jasper for a two night stay. Dinner will be at the lodge this evening.

Day 6 – Jasper

Enjoy a delicious breakfast this morning. Later we’ll cruise on lovely Lake Maligne to Spirit Island with sweeping views of mountain scenery, then return to the lodge for the remainder of the day. Some may want to browse in the local shops of Jasper. This evening enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner at the Chateau.

Day 7 – Jasper to Golden, BC

After breakfast at the hotel we will continue our exploring of the beautiful Canadian Rockies with photo stops along the way. See emerald colored Lake Peyto tucked among majestic mountain peaks. A special R&J lunch is planned! Have your cameras ready as we view majestic Emerald Lake! This afternoon we’ll travel to British Columbia and settle into our rooms to soak in the splendid scenery.

Day 8 – Golden to Radium Hot Springs, BC

This morning we head to Kicking Horse Ski Lodge and visit the 20-acre Grizzly Bear Refuge where Boo, the resident grizzly, hunts, plays, forages, & explores just like his wild cousins. Then we’ll journey down to Radium Hot Springs, located south of Yoho National Park and onto Kootenay National Park which is encompassed by two river valleys, the Kootenay and the Vermillion, amidst the stunning setting of the west side of the Rocky Mountains. We’ll make our way to the lovely Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, just a short distance from Radium Hot Springs. After a delicious Austrian-style lunch, grab your camera for some great photos of the Home of a Thousand Faces. Later you may want to enjoy the hot springs at your leisure – a great way to end a perfect day!

Day 9 – Radium to Waterton Park, AB

Today we make our way to the quaint town of Waterton Park, taking in more of the spectacular mountain views along the way. This evening we’ll enjoy the Great Canadian Barn Dance Show, including a delicious dinner and some down-home music that will leave us smiling, singing, and reminiscing! Tonight we will nestle into our hotel overlooking the stunning Rocky Mountains.

Day 10 – Waterton Park to Havre, MT

Today we will travel across the border and back into the states, making our way along the east side of beautiful Glacier National Park. Take in the scenery as we leisurely wind along. Arrive this evening in Havre for a relaxing overnight.

Day 11 – Havre to Bismarck, ND

After a light breakfast, we’ll leave Montana behind and make our way into North Dakota for our last overnight. A farewell dinner is included this evening, perfect for sharing about our grand journey!

Day 12 – Bismarck to Home

After a light breakfast, we’ll motor our last stretch for home.
