Day 1 – Home to Milwaukee

Today we depart for an exciting tour to Milwaukee, Wisconsin! After coffee stops and lunch along the way, we’ll check into our home for the next four nights, the newly remodeled Brookfield Embassy Suites. After freshening up, we’ll depart for our Welcome Dinner aboard the Edelweiss Dinner Cruise. While you eat, enjoy great views of Milwaukee’s downtown as well as Lake Michigan.

Day 2 – Milwaukee

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we’ll board the motorcoach and head to the North Point Lighthouse for a chance to take pictures of this 39’ octagon shaped lighthouse. Don’t forget to snap pictures of beautiful Lake Michigan while we are here! Next we depart for the Milwaukee Art Museum, a 341,000 square foot Museum loaded with four floors of over 40 galleries of artworks from antiquity to the present. Enjoy a relaxing lunch on your own while at the Museum. This afternoon we visit the Great Lakes Distillery for a tour of this small-batch, hand-crafted, award-winning Distillery. We will learn about their great products, why & how they make them, and enjoy a sampling of their spirits. Then we head to the Harley-Davidson Museum for an up-close experience of more than 450 motorcycles and artifacts, including the oldest known Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Our day concludes with a delightful dinner served at the Bonefish Grill.

Day 3 – Milwaukee

Have a hearty breakfast at the hotel before we board our motorcoach for a 3-hour tour of Milwaukee with a local step-on guide. We’ll hit all the highlights and learn the history of this city. Afterwards, enjoy the Milwaukee Public Market for a relaxing lunch and shopping on your own. Next we have a guided tour the Basilica of St. Josaphat, a truly incredible structure designed in essence as a smaller version of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Later this afternoon, we visit the lovely Boerner Botanical Gardens for a leisurely stroll amongst the beautiful gardens. We’ll take some time to freshen up at the hotel before departing for our included dinner this evening.

Day 4 – Cederburg

Breakfast is again served at the hotel before we travel north to the historic town of Cedarburg, founded in the 1840s. From its charming shops and boutiques to its meticulously maintained historic buildings, Cedarburg is a city you’ll never tire of exploring. First we have a fun tour & tasting at the Cedar Creek Winery, which is located in a restored 1860s woolen mill. Then we have a few hours on our own to enjoy shopping, eating a leisurely lunch, strolling along the creek, and stepping into one (or two!) of the quaint sweet or coffee shops. Just north of Cedarburg is one of the last remaining covered bridges in Wisconsin – what a great place for a photo opportunity! Then we board the motorcoach and travel back to our temporary home to freshen up before our Farewell Dinner at Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro, with stunning views of Lake Michigan.

Day 5 – Milwaukee to Home

Before departing for home, enjoy one last breakfast at the hotel. We’ll make a stop in Baraboo, Wisconsin for a spectacular tour of the Al Ringling Mansion, home of the eldest of the five famous Ringling brothers. After which we will have an included lunch at Cracker Barrel. As we cover the last miles to home, reminisce with your new traveling friends about a great Miltown tour!
