Day 1 – Home to Ely, MN

· Travel to Cloquet, MN

· Included lunch at Gordy’s Hi-Hat Restaurant in Cloquet: An American Legend

· Mineview in the Sky, Virginia, MN Open Pit Mine viewing

· Soudan Mine Tour, Tower, MN: Minnesota’s first Iron Ore Mine

· Grand Ely Lodge: 2 nights stay on beautiful Shagawa Lake

· Dine in the Northwoods atmosphere of Evergreen Restaurant

 

Day 2 – Ely

· Breakfast each morning at the lodge

· Dorothy Molter Cabin

· International Wolf Center: Multi-million dollar interpretive facility. Observe the resident wolf pack and tour the “Wolves & Humans” exhibit.

· The northwoods village of Ely

· North American Bear Center. Live bears in enclosed forested area. Great observation and education on bears. Theater & gift shop

· Relaxing time in the northwoods

Day 3 – Ely to Duluth

· Scenic north country drive to the North Shore of Lake Superior

· Whit’s End Corner Country Store & Bakery

· Split rock Lighthouse tour

· Spectacular Lake views

· Included lunch at Splashing Rock Restaurant on the shore of Lake Superior

· Gooseberry Falls State Park

· Scenic North Shore drive to Duluth

· Great Lakes Aquarium

· Lodging: The Inn on Lake Superior with lake view rooms

· Evening at Canal Park in Duluth

 

Day 4 – Duluth to Home

· Breakfast at the lodge watching the sunrise over Lake Superior

· Duluth Rose Garden

· Glensheen Mansion Tour

· Duluth Harbor Pizza Lunch Cruise, Vista Star Fleet

· Cirrus Airplane Factory Tour. Fascinating!

· Coffee break at Tobies Bakery in Hinckley
