6 Days of Inspiration, Music, and Scenic Mountain Charm

Join us for a soul-stirring journey through the heart of the Ozarks – where powerful storytelling, musical performances, and breathtaking scenery create the perfect blend of faith, fun, and fellowship. From the moving drama of The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs to the toe-tapping shows of Branson, and historic carousels to legendary ballrooms, this tour is rich with memorable moments and Midwest hospitality!

 

 

Day 1 – Home to Leavenworth, KS

Our journey begins as we head south to Leavenworth, Kansas, one of the Midwest’s most historic and charming river towns. Along the way, we’ll stop at the C.W. Parker Carousel Museum, where we’ll not only learn about the fascinating history of these classic rides but also get the chance to hop aboard and relive the joy of a vintage carousel ride! An included dinner wraps up our first evening together. We’ll overnight at the Hampton Inn Leavenworth, resting up for the excitement ahead.

Day 2 – Leavenworth to Eureka Springs, AR

After breakfast at the hotel, we begin the morning with a local step-on guide who will share the fascinating history of Fort Leavenworth, one of the oldest active military posts west of the Mississippi. Then we’re off to Simple Pleasures, a 1930s gas station full of 1920s-1970s iconic autos, toys, neon advertising and more. Like a time capsule, we’ll be connected to memories that define the America of Yesterday. We’ll experience a car barn tour, a “Diana Shore” choir, and even participate in nostalgic activities with a real spinner board! While here, we’ll be treated to a smoked ribs & chicken buffet lunch including ice cream sundaes and entertainment. Later, we travel into the scenic heart of the Ozarks and arrive in Eureka Springs, a town known for its winding streets, Victorian charm, and spiritual history. We’ll settle in for the night at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks, and enjoy a relaxing dinner.

Day 3 – Eureka Springs

This morning begins with a peaceful visit to the stunning Thorncrown Chapel, a breathtaking glass chapel nestled in the woods and one of Ozarks’ architectural gems. Next, enjoy free time to explore the winding streets and one-of-a-kind shops in downtown Eureka Springs, where historic charm meets artistic flair. The remainder of the day will be spent experiencing all that encompasses the Great Passion Play! First, we are treated to lunch in the Great Hall. Then, we’re treated to the incredible Holy Land Tour. Walking through a life-sized replica of the Eastern Gate in Jerusalem into an authentic marketplace, we will feel as if we are in the actual Holy Land. Biblical times come to life before our own eyes with cisterns, sheep pens, guard towers, and a full-scale replica of the Tabernacle. There is much to experience and you will be given free time to explore various options including: The Christ of the Ozarks, Moses Tabernacle in the Wilderness, a section of the Berlin Wall, the Church in the Grove, the Bible Museum, the History Museum, the Sacred Arts Museum, God with Us Movie, Noah’s Ark Park Petting Zoo, and hiking trails. We’ll gather back together to enjoy a wonderful buffet dinner. This evening we’ll relive “The Greatest Story Ever Told” through the incredible Great Passion Play! Hundreds of actors and actresses, live animals, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting create an unforgettable experience for us under the stars in “America’s #1 Attended Outdoor Drama.”

Day 4 – Eureka Springs to Branson, MO

We begin the day with a beautiful drive through the Ozark Mountains as we make our way to Branson. En route, we’ll stop at scenic Top of the Rock and board golf carts for a self-guided tour through the marvelous Lost Canyon Cave complete with a drive-thru bar & beverage station, and along the beautiful Nature Trail. Then, we will enjoy checking out the Museum of the Ancient Ozarks. Next, enjoy a delicious lunch at the Pickin’ Porch Grill, known for its warm hospitality and Ozark-style comfort food. Then it’s time to tap our toes and sing along at the #1 Hits of the 60s Show, a high-energy musical journey featuring classic hits, fun costumes, and lots of nostalgia! Later, we check in at the welcoming Lodge of the Ozarks, right in the heart of Branson. Tonight’s dinner is included at the beloved Grand Country Buffet, followed by an evening at the spectacular Sight & Sound Theatre for their stunning biblical production of “David,” a timeless tale! Following remarkable triumphs and harrowing setbacks, a fervent warrior confronts his ultimate challenge: the battle within himself. The story will follow David from the Old Testament and his journey from shepherd to king to becoming a man after God’s own heart!

Day 5 – Branson to Ottumwa, IA

This morning we bid farewell to the bright lights of Branson and begin our journey north. Our route takes us through Jefferson City, the capital of Missouri, where we’ll enjoy views of the stately Capitol building and the Missouri River as we pass through. By evening, we arrive in Ottumwa, Iowa, where we’ll settle in for the night at the comfortable Cobblestone Inn & Suites. Tonight’s dinner is a treat—a hearty meal at Warehouse BBQ, a local favorite known for its laid-back atmosphere and savory smoked meats.

Day 6 – Ottumwa, IA to Home

As our journey draws to a close, we make one final, unforgettable stop at the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, a historic venue where the music lives on. Enjoy a guided tour of this iconic site, where stars like Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens once took the stage, and soak in the nostalgia of rock ‘n’ roll history. An included lunch at the Surf Ballroom rounds out our time together before we board the coach one last time. We’re homeward bound and filled with music in our hearts, new friendships, and unforgettable memories from the Ozarks and beyond!
