Day 1 – Home to Kansas City
This morning we depart on our exciting winter getaway.  Our first night will be in Kansas City.  
Hotel: Drury Inn and Suites

Day 2 – Kansas City to Oklahoma City
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we depart.  Journey across Kansas into Oklahoma.  We’ll make a stop at the Oklahoma Federal Building Bombing Memorial before we check into our hotel.  Settle into your comfortable room then join us for an included dinner.

Day 3 – Oklahoma City to Albuquerque
Today after breakfast at the hotel we depart for Albuquerque.  Our drive will take us through Shamrock past the town of Mclean where your sure to have an “uplifting” experience. Then it’s through Amarillo  and on into New Mexico where we will stop at Albuquerque for the night.

Day 4 – Albuquerque to Tucson
Another beautiful drive today through the mountain ranges of New Mexico with a stop in Tucson for the evening.

Day 5 – Tucson to Palm Springs
(The fly option group arrives today in Palm Springs and joins the tour this afternoon.) Depart Tucson this morning and motor to Palm Springs.  Check into the beautiful resort hotel located in the heart of Palm Springs for 5 nights.  Your hotel is perfectly located near famous Palm Canyon Drive which offers an abundance of unique restaurants and wonderful shops and boutiques.

Day 6 – Palm Springs
Awake in paradise and enjoy breakfast at your leisure. We’ll make an interesting stop at the Palm Springs Air Museum.   A local step on guide joins us this afternoon to show us around Palm Springs including the neighborhoods of the rich and famous.  We’ll take an included trip to the Living Desert Museum where you will see beautiful displays of desert plant and wildlife.    This evening you can enjoy the traditional Village Fest!  Discover an old-time street fair that transforms downtown Palm Springs into a charming international bazaar with over 100 vendors featuring a farmers market, fine art, ceramics, woodworking, entertainment, and antiques.

Day 7 – Palm Springs
Early morning is at your leisure before we visit the Oasis Date Gardens for an interesting tour.  We then will board covered wagons and head into the California desert.  Hear about desert plants and wildlife.  Enjoy an included barbecue lunch with western entertainment.

Day 8 – Palm Springs
Enjoy brunch at Melvyn’s, an elegant restaurant which is a favorite with celebrities. The rest of the day you may want to lounge around the sparkling pool or pursue your own interests.

Day 9 – Palm Springs
Enjoy Breakfast and early morning at your leisure.  This afternoon we enjoy a spectacular aerial tram ride as you ascend from palms to the pines.  The panoramic view of Palm Springs from atop this 8,500 ft peak of Mount San Jacinto is amazing!  This evening after dinner, you are guests at The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies where all the performers are 50 to 80 years young!  Enjoy this spectacular musical revue!

Day 10 – Palm Springs to Lake Havasu
After breakfast depart for Lake Havasu, Arizona and check into one of the state’s most popular resort areas.  Unpack and relax for the next 3 nights at the lovely London Bridge Resort. Take advantage of this all-suite resort condominium in Lake Havasu set on 110 acres of waterfront.  The resort offers two restaurants, a cocktail lounge and three swimming pools.  Your suite features a separate living room, and a kitchen and dining area.

Day 11 – Lake Havasu
Spend some time this morning sightseeing in the English Village, beneath the shadow of the world’s largest antique, the Historic London Bridge.  Today we’ll tour around the Island of Lake Havasu via an old 1860’s paddlewheel, the Dixie Belle, with narration and history of the London Bridge.  After that it’s lunch with the “Queen of England”!

Day 12 – Lake Havasu
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel this morning.  Relax by the pool or do some shopping.  Later, “Hang on!” as you blast off from the English Village aboard the “Starship 2010” for a scenic boat trip to Topock Gorge. You’ll travel up the Colorado River enjoying views of Petroglyphs and wildlife.  We’ll return and enjoy a lunch at the Barley Brothers Brewery and Grill.  Return to the hotel for a leisurely afternoon and evening.

Day 13 – Lake Havasu to Sandy, UT
(The fly away group departs for home today.)  After breakfast we’ll depart for Sandy with a stop in Las Vegas for the departure of our fly away folks.  We’ll check into the hotel for a restful evening.

Day 14 – Sandy to Cheyenne, WY
Today we climb over the Rockies and all its majesty and beauty for our trip to Cheyenne.  Check into the hotel and then join your group for a great dinner together.

Day 15 – Cheyenne to Lincoln, NE
After breakfast we depart for Lincoln.  Along the way we’ll pass North Platte, home of the largest railroad switching yard in the United States.  We’ll drive under the Great Platte River Archway and into our evening stop.  Enjoy a restful night at the hotel.

Day 16 – Lincoln to Home
This morning is at leisure before continuing home.
