Day 1 – Home to San Antonio, TX
The magic of Christmas comes alive on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas! Be dazzled by approximately 122,000 Christmas lights that form a brilliant canopy over the Riverwalk! After our flight, we’ll check into the Drury Plaza Riverwalk for a relaxing four night stay right in the heart of the festivities. As we get to know our fellow travelers, we will enjoy a delicious dinner at Landry’s this evening.

Day 2 – Riverwalk
This morning we will tour the impressive Witte Museum. Enjoy some time viewing natural history, from dinosaur bones & cave drawings to South Texas heritage & textiles. Then we will enjoy a lunch together at the Chart House in the historic Tower of America’s. The food and view are splendid! After lunch we’ll take in a spectacular holiday performance at Tobin Center. The holidays aren’t complete until we experience the magic of Ballet San Antonio’s “The Nutcracker!” With live music performed by the San Antonio Symphony and a children’s cast of over 100 children, it’s magical! Tonight we’ll be immersed in Christmas lights as we take a walking tour at “Lightscapes” within the San Antonio Botanical Gardens. We will be amazed!

Day 3 – Fredericksburg, TX
Breakfast is served at the hotel before we board the motorcoach for a narrated driving tour of the LBJ Ranch. Then we’ll motor to Fredericksburg for shopping and lunch on our own, followed by a tour of the National Museum of the Pacific War. The history of the Pacific War will come alive as we walk through the life of Chester Nimitz, a highly respected leader of the Pacific campaign of WWII. A special dinner is planned at the Knibbe Ranch this evening. We start off with a tour aboard a hay trailer, given by the ranch owner himself, Chuck Knibbe, followed by an authentic Texas Barbecue!

Day 4 – Riverwalk
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll depart on a guided city tour. Next we’ll spend time shopping at the El Mercado, a large, authentic Mexican Market featuring a vast array of goods, food, and entertainment. Lunch is on your own to choose from one of the market’s restaurants. Our journey to San Antonio would not be complete without visiting the Mission San Antonio de Valero, also known as The Alamo. Explore this famous fort, originally constructed in 1724, and learn more about its rich history as you watch the remarkable IMAX movie, Alamo – The Price of Freedom. Then it will be your turn to take in the splendid views from the river as you enjoy an evening river cruise.

Day 5 – San Antonio to Home
This morning you’ll have the opportunity to sleep in before a leisurely breakfast and maybe one last stroll along the Riverwalk before we load our belongings for the trip home. But our day has some exciting adventures before we fly! Our evening flight will get us home in time for a night of dreams filled with memories of our San Antonio Riverwalk Christmas!
