Through multi-image presentations, historical environments, and colorful displays, we’ll learn about their deep faith and life. After lunch on our own, we’ll take in the musical, “The Christmas Candy Caper.” After years of playing pranks on her family and friends, Candy Shop owner Lydia Miller experiences real-life holiday danger when two men break into her shop to steal her coveted candy recipe. But what began as a burglary, quickly escalates into a kidnapping when the burglars realize how much the town loves Lydia and that they will come after them to save her – thus figuring they can make far more money in ransom pay. Unfortunately, being the Amish girl who cried wolf once too often, the town believes the note is just another one of Lydia’s pranks and they pay it no mind. This leads to a hilarious back and forth between the kidnappers, the police chief, the bishop, the mayor, and various family members and friends. Afterwards, enjoy some free time for shopping the quaint shops of Shipshewana before for a delicious buffet dinner is served. Tonight it’s Christmas with the Gaither Vocal Band! Through their joyful harmonies, we’ll be reminded of the eternal song of hope as all heaven and nature sing and celebrate the birth of the Savior, as well as the unconditional love of the Father who continually brings light to a dark world. They’ll perform timeless gospel classics, inspiring new favorites, and classic Christmas standards guaranteed to bring holiday cheer!
